We slept with windows open last night for first night in a while.

I woke up this morning at 3:18 am to a dog barking incessantly. VERY unusual. After several minutes, I had my husband get up to go investigate with me. By the time we started down the drive, it stopped. . .. and others started.

The barking, off and on, of several neighborhood dogs continued for a couple of hours.

Interestingly, our four dogs, professionally trained for zombie defense(i.e., bark at the drop of a hat), stayed in our bedroom without making a peep.

Thank GAWD I decided to stay up and work. At the rate I'm going, I'll get my 8 hours in BEFORE the apocalypse begins.
