"Mothers" who dump their kids off at daycare!!!!!!

A note to the mentally challenged AC from a working single mother:

I "dump" my child at daycare in the morning so that I can work full-time hours to make money for bills, buying groceries, and providing my child a stabile life that was better than I had when I grew up. Why am I single? Because when I became pregnant, the "father" attempted to kill her, so I packed 2 suitcases, left everything behind, left state and never looked back. I do not rely on welfare, food stamps, or government assistance because its an endless cycle, and I'm more capable than that. Some people do need it, and these days it's easy to see why.

There is nothing hostile about my child's environment-I wouldn't even have her IN a daycare, I'd much rather spend time at home raising her & teaching her myself, but she needs outside interaction to explore and discover the world and other children to associate with to grow as an individual. But if I choose to stay home, I lose the home, and the stability I want her to have, thus ending up on public assistance and beginning the vicious circle I'm trying to avoid at all costs...so that "you" - meaning society - wont refer to me and others like me as a "worthless whore mommy who pops out kids for cash."

And yes, there are those sad attempts at "mothers" who DO nothing aside from going out all the time, bar hoping, spending all their "hard earned" government cash on useless shit. It's a sad reality that their children will never know what a happy home will be. But nothing gives YOU the right to judge another individual until you have lived in their shoes.

What passes for "men" now days, don't take care of their responsibilities so the woman has no choice.

Because by dumping them off at daycare means they can work a full time job and contribute to the financial status of the family and provide an independent life and future for that "little shit".

Or, if you prefer they could stay at home and eat up your tax money while living high off of everyone else for doing absolutely nothing like the other system sucking trash. Just keep popping out babies while you work harder to pay for them.

The only thing I noticed is when people try to provide a better life for the children they birth they always talk about money. I am sure your kids wouldn't mind spending an extra 1-10 hours with you instead of that toy they play with for 5 minutes then forget. It's not about that... they just want you. They don't want you to be stressed but happy when you are around them.

Lets see 8 hour job. Single mom maybe 2 jobs or 10+ hours?
1 hour drive there and back.
8 hours of sleep (anything less isn't healthy and you want to be healthy so your kids can have a better life right?).

I am not married and have two kids and one on the way. I prefer my fiance work, it keeps savility and peace between us. My son is in school my daughter is in daycare and enjoys all the time she spends with her friends. Your point is completely moot as is your intelligence. You are probably mad because you tried to keep your wife from working and then could not afford her needs so she left your dumb broke ass and now.sues you for child support and still works her ass off. I have a son from another relationship that the mother doesn't ever see nor pays child support. I wasn't trying to be negative but point out the obvious that isn't always so obvious.

I dont think people should have kids if they cant afford to stay home with them when they are small and take care of them.
What logic is it to want a child,then have it,pack it up early morning to late evening drop it off for someone else to look after while mom works to make money to support it when what it really needs is HER.
Then rush home to cook,take care of the chores,then sleep,repeat,repeat,Not very fair to the child at all since the child had no choice in the matter.

Shouldnt have a child until one is financially secure enough that they can stay home and be a mother to the child.

Not that I owe you an explanation, I was in a 5+ year relationship with the father, and right before I had my daughter, he decided to try throwing me down stairs on more than one occasion, and then paid some of his friends to beat me in the stomach. They were arrested, and he was charged. So no, he was fine and amazing the first 5 years..."normal" if that's what you want to call it. It was only after I was pregnant, and close to giving birth that reality finally set in. He didn't want a baby to interfere with his life. So I'm the crazy one for making the mistake being in a stable relationship, planning to be married, starting a life with a man who at the time I cared about that later snapped and went fucking batshit crazy. So you're saying I'm irresponsible and made a mistake because what, I should've stayed and become another statistic? My life and my child's life has been far better - although not without difficulty any single mom would face - now that we're free of all the bullshit. My child IS NOT and will NEVER BE a mistake.

I think that we, as women, SHOULD wait until we are able to be full-time parents to have children. I always say that I did not have my children for someone else to raise them.

With that being said, I understand how some people that aren't as fortunate as I have been, or who don't have the familial support that I do would struggle.

The real issue isn't these moms that are doing the only thing that they CAN do when they have kids with someone that isn't committed to the child they created. The real issue is the society that makes this 'normal' or 'ok'.

You have ONE chance to raise your children. ONE. You mess it up- there are no 'do-overs'. You don't get a second chance. That is too big of a risk for me to trust to someone else.

So, I've struggled- I've done ebay, amazon, half, and worked my butt off doing taxes, and damn near ANYTHING else I could do from the house, or occasionally while the kids' father had them every other weekend.

I think my peeps are as confident, successful and strong as they are today because of their bond to me. They know there is not a damn thing I wouldn't do for them, and, they know to value PEOPLE and RELATIONSHIPS more than THINGs.

But, I think we all do the best we can, given the tools we've been given in life.

So, stop hating. It is part of the problem, not the solution.

I owned a daycare for years and it broke my heart seeing patents roll in at 8 am on their days off to drop their kids off. I spent more time with their children than they did. No matter what your position is on this debate, think about that for a moment. I spent so many years and so much time with these kids that I still wonder how they are doing.

I think some of the issues facing young adults today is that their parents did not raise them. From 6 weeks of life, for the rest of their childhood they spent a majority of their days with other people, not family.

Dave, isn't it a little short-sighted to hold that perspective when you don't have any knowledge of the actual nature/circumstances of the other individual and when you understand that there's two parties required to create a successful marriage/family?

What I mean is, if some woman completely fucked you over in your life would you appreciate others pointing the finger at you and blaming you for the actions of this individual under the guise of 'mistakes' that YOU made? You only have control over your own behavior. You can't control others no matter how well you think you know them. Sometimes people are not who them seem at first or they completely stray from their normal nature and do fucked up things. That's not always the fault of the other person involved in the relationship.

Also, people make mistakes and go through hardships in this lifetime. Life is about growing from those experiences - not dwelling on the past and focusing on regret/blame/etc.

I also owned a daycare, before I had my own children, and I completely feel the same way. Parents would take vacations without their kids- grandma would be dropping off the child...

I completely agree - I think kids feel worthless and angry, because the one person that is supposed to love them the most- their mom- never had time for them. And, it is about time. Kids are happier in a one bedroom with a mom that is there than they are in a mansion feeling disposable. It sucks. We owe children better than that.
