Company officials threw out test results that showed little difference in the number of devices needed to center the cement casing in the well at the center of the 2010 disaster, according to court papers. Halliburton had recommended well owner BP use 21 centralizers, but BP used only six -- and the issue has been key point of contention between the two companies. From same cnn article. Halliburton British Petroleum Transocean Biggest oil spill in history. And these three companies admit criminal wrondoing. Criminal wrongdoing seems to be the norm. Wonder what the headlines will say about Bayou Corne Sinkhole/Saltdome disaster 4 years from now. How much criminal wrongdoing will be admitted to and by what companies. |

What we have here, GLP is an honest to god conspiracy to protect corporate profits and reputation over anything else. Halliburton should be sued into oblivion for this. After all, it's hardly the first time they've lied about their business practices. And who did we elect as VP? Makes me sick. |

Bumping this due to a number of things.... It is a huge story, that is absolutely hidden in the MSM coverage. The BP well was such a massive story here on GLP, and now we see there is a very serious felony taking place, and a massively corrupt multinational just took that as a way out of something more....imagine what they were able to hide that they might be responsible for. |

This seems common. They pay a few million dollar fine and continue with business as usual. Happens often actually. Quoting: Truthhappened Their fine is only $200,000! CNN just said that's the maximum. The settlement included an agreement that no further criminal charges can be filed against Halliburton. |
