while I am fully aware that chickens have feet, I would be disturbed to find one in a chicken breast package.

1) because it's added stuff to weigh that they charge you for
and 2) if that got by whatever screening process says it's "good to go" then God knows what other nastiness gets by.

I wish they would sell drumsticks with the foot still attacked, that way I could serve them standing up on the plate and freak the kids out.

You obviously don't get it... You pay by the pound, when you add a chicken foot it throughs the weight off, of course... You are literally getting ripped off, no one is going to eat that... Yeah some people might but lets be honest the majority won't...

I would go back to that store and demand a refund and exchange the product for another one, whether opened or not... They better take it.

I would have considered it a bonus. Chicken feet make great broth. After you strip the carcass, put it in simmering water with a couple of tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and throw in a few chicken feet. Gels up nicely and can be used to make great soup. Good for the joints.

On the other hand... store bought chicken is gross. Pastured chicken that roams about eating bugs and lizards make the best chickens ever. And once you've had pastured chicken and especially Turkey, you'll never go back. I cooked a pastured turkey last year at Thanksgiving and it was fantastic. Store bought turkey is nasty and tasteless.

She needs to visit a 'chicken processing plant' to get a dose of reality. if she did, she'd never eat yard bird again

The package is clear for a reason. If she doesn't like chicken feet she could simply not buy that particular package. She is making a big deal out of absolutely nothing.

I wish she had called the cops and told them it was a hand, then maybe they would've arrested her for filing a false police report and gotten this moron off the streets for at least a little while. But, I just hope she doesn't have children, we don't need her passing on her stupidity to the next generation.
