why is the video so shaky?

Maybe one of those new hand held surveillance cams, I would have thought it would be a fixed cam, but everything about this "wreck" is wrong.
 Quoting: 90Rocky

Good observation. It doesn't look like its from a motionless cam, does it?

I wondered the same thing, so looked through the first article:

[link to whowhatwhy.com]

We lifted the yellow tape and walked down the sidewalk to get access to the alley leading to the lot where my car was parked. A Los Angeles police officer stopped us. Nancy explained she owned the restaurant and I identified myself as a reporter. The officer let us walk on and gave a quick rundown: A man had driven into the tree at 4:30 that morning. He was dead.

My first thought was that another early morning L.A. drunk had killed himself. I told the officer that a security camera located outside the front door of the pizzeria probably captured the crash.

I think I am seeing an explosion as the vehicle is traveling forward. Then vehicle swerves and more explosion.
Didn't they initially say the car HIT the tree and exploded,
And then we all said, after seeing photos, that the vehicle rested up against the tree but did not really hit it with force.

He was assassinated for sure.

Is that a possible subliminal message in that picture of Michael Hastings?: "A Shady Spook"

For all I know, he could have been a mole who faked his own death.

I've got 16 self-installed security cameras on my property. They shake in wind. Some more than others. It looks like a lot of the cam footage I've seen. I think it was a mounted cam that was either a little loose or blowin' in the wind.

For someone who is supposed to be noted as a slow driver, it seems that he is going exceptionally fast. Who knows...maybe the same thing that caused the Toyota to accelerate mysteriously, caused this Mercedes to accelerate on it's own. Mysteriously...of course.

I'm thinking that the video is shaky because it is being filmed from a camera or phone off of a screen or monitor.

On a side note, if a car can blow up like that, I am going to stop driving!
On the day when the wagons come
I just pray that you let me on

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in OUR image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Matthew 24:42 - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Re: Michael Hastings: New Surveillance Video Shows Fiery Crash...
One thing I want to point out.........

His tail lights go out for a second before the first explosion.

I suggest he may have had a short in his fuel tank. Sometimes fuel pumps melt from being old and worn. Fuel cools the pump.

Sometimes, rarely, when the connections work loose from a melting pump (which is rare but does happen) and the fuel tank is on empty stretching the last bit......a short circuit can occur when the 12v + wire touches the - wire. They are only inches apart and submerged in gas or gas vapor.

Or sometimes the ground line connecting the block to the frame can be removed or fails. Leaving a strong ground current to travel through the throttle cable or transmission shift control cable. Both of which can catch fire from the amps running down it. Fire is no good in an engine bay. Especially if there is a leaky fuel pressure regulator.

Or a fuel line bursts.....

AS fast as he was going you could expect a pretty nice explosion. But there a couple things:

It seems the small explosion happened before he hit

And the big explosion, well... it's just TOO damn big. Car bomb for sure. Professional. So I'm guessing they used C4 or a newer type of explosive, and not TNT(dynamite).

Because it's somebody filming a video being played on a monitor.

The explosion seems bigger than it probably really was because the camera was in night-vision mode and the lights overwhelmed the sensor.

An overly-bright light (such as lightning) will make the security cam display in color, thinking it is daytime. Check out a security cam at night during a thunderstorm.

Interesting options to look into. Though this being a brand new car it seems unlikely that the connections would work loose or that he fuel pump would have been old and worn.. I don't know a thing about cars though. Can someone verify these possibilities?

It seems strange that the tail lights would go out just before the first explosion though. What sort of things could cause that?
