Quoting: Madame X Am re-pointing sections of my limestone foundation. What a whole lot of work! Why not a New Jerusalem Christian? Quoting: son of God New Jerusalem Russ [link to newjerusalemcalendar.com] The Masonic multireligious system is causing the huge mess. Lots of religions mixed together is a huge mess. Masons should be learning that by now and graduating to New Jerusalem Christianity. Thu Jul 5/10/13 |

Keeping my fingers crossed I mixed the mortar correctly and didn't add too much water. Am trying the British guys suggestion from the hardware store to put a bonder on first. Scraped clean, brushed and then vacuumed the base of my foundation. Removed all the broken down mortar. Brushed it with watered down bonder and then mixed and mortared. I move on to the next section tomorrow. Any suggestions or tricks of the trade from the peanut gallery would be appreciated. The right mixture is 1 water for 3 powder. 13 I hope you understand. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42556104 Thanks for the tip, much appreciated. Just having a cup of java before heading out to do 2nd section. Is is best to let it sit for a few minutes or use immediately after mixing? You got me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32062218 I thought you meant you had sold your soul for a piece of tin foil. Nope just a woman with a trowel. I can imagine your satisfaction upon the completion of that hellish project. Fortunately for me, no one decided to desecrate my 100 year old ceilings with popcorn. :) LOL i know, it's so horrible!! at least it wasn't the kind with the glitter on it from the 80s but it was still annoying me. and luckily, it was an apartment, my arms would have probably fallen off if it was a whole house.
