Very true, love it when a project comes together.
The masonry all started with the simple painting of the basement floor and well you know, one thing leads to another.

Fortunately for me, no one decided to desecrate my 100 year old ceilings with popcorn. :) LOL i know, it's so horrible!! at least it wasn't the kind with the glitter on it from the 80s but it was still annoying me. and luckily, it was an apartment, my arms would have probably fallen off if it was a whole house. Weird my quote button is acting strange. Were you eating popcorn ceiling until you were done? The last time I did drywalling, I ate drywall dust for months.
