I don't know why, but he made me feel a little sad for him..

He's afraid of THEM, the shadow people of various international factions, just like all other US Presidents since JFK.
He's a good guy in heart, this is why they USE him.
He's been warned not to sign any executive orders without authorization from higher up, but he's getting tired of this game.
Just remember though, he signed off on NDAA "with reservations".
