1. No 2. 33rd grand master no 3. A brotherhood of enlightened men 4. Someone from a lodge must invite you in. 5. You must believe in a higher power other than self and cannot join if you want to obtain anything for yourself. 6. Refer to number 5.

I hope this helps my best friend is a first degree his father is grandmaster of his lodge.

Re: freemason questions.
You do not need to be invited to join the Masons. You can ask them and they will assign you a mentor and take a vote.
As long as you believe in some higher power and noone has anything against you, you will be accepted.

The three main rules of Masonry are simple.

Do not talk about religion

Do not talk about Politics

Do not talk about relationships.

Every Mason takes a different path after the 3rd degree. So every experience is differs from another in some way.

As in any group there are bad people and good people.

If the world was run as a lodge there would be less war and problems in the world.

Masonry is selective because it only takes one person to ruin it all.

My advice is, instead of posting on the internet and asking questions. Go to your nearest lodge and simply have a normal and civilized conversation with the masons there.

Just because you are not Mason does not mean you are not allowed to go there.

They have female masonic orders also, but I guess they aren't such great drinkers - lots of alcohol required at the feast for 'toasts' to those higher up and those past away drunk

Some people take it very seriously ;)
Others like to have a laugh. Each lodge is different, each country has different styles... my lodge is a naval one, so we like liquor - although nowadays it's wine and beer tounge

Usually the meals are in a pub or rented room - but sometimes fancy lodges have 5 star+ banquets... (and no - it's not like eyes wide shut!)

I am a Freemason and can give you the most accurate answers to your questions. I am 32 degree and a Knight Templar.

1. Freemasons are very interested in the 3rd eye and latent psychic abilities. But it is not usually something that would be discussed in open lodge unless done during an educational segment. It depends on each Lodges Educational officer if it ever gets discussed.

2. a.) The highest rank is Master Mason which is 3rd degree. All other degrees are for further depth of knowledge so a 33rd is not higher than a 3rd. The degree for depth of knowledge is 32nd. The 33rd is purely an honorary degree for service rendered to the Scottish Rite.

b. ) The highest ranking Officer in a Lodge is the Lodge Master. All Grand officer positions are honorary for service rendered.

3. People join for different several different reasons. Knowledge, but its a Fraternity and we form close relationships with each other and and consider each other family. Some people join because of the amount of charitable work we do. My particular lodge has raised closed to $200k in the last 4 years for our local community and we continually keep our local food shelf stocked.

4. You can simply ask to join. You need to meet certain requirements For Freemason. You have to submit a petition. You need to be a man, no felonies, You would have 3 interviews which all must be positive and then your petition will get voted upon by the lodge. Female freemasonry is The Order of the Eastern Star and have their own requirements.

5. You must believe is some kind of higher power. Most call that God, but it also could be what some call the Collective Unconsciousness for example.

yes

Kalganax

To create a community support group founded of the most influential and respected members of the local community

Generally you have to be invited

You have to be well respected in your community and believe in a higher power.

It doesn't have to be a god as such, just a higher power of any kind. No specific god is considered the correct one.
