My niece and I were discussing this problem recently. We were both kicked out of the house in our mid-teens - we both almost ended up full-blown prostitutes. We definitely were taken advantage of by men of all ages and professions so whereas we could have a place to sleep and some food given to us. We were also 'taught' the fine art of stealing food from grocery stores. We were both honor students in the time we were in school.

Neither of us have processed the WHY - as in WHY or WTF were our parents thinking? In my niece's case, WTF was my sister and her husband thinking?
