the feather had many meanings did it not?
I think I've read about the goddess who used a feather as a counter weight, when weighing souls, if your soul was heavier than the feather you were found unworthy and sent to the underworld/nehterworld ( a variation of the karmic laws and all that go to heaven stuff)

ah interesting, I read about the underworld in the sumerian myths, some of the beings there were similar to birds,
we have the 2 owl like figures that stand besides what must be Ereshkigal, on the famous sculpture/symbol that many claim to be Innana/Ishtar/Lilith

I have often heard Jupiter referred to as the "new king"/ son, with his father, Saturn, being called the "old king."

In mythology, Uranus/ Oranos is grandfather of Jupiter and father of Saturn. Astrologers/astronomers worked near to far naming the planets.


Venus/ Aphrodite is frequently portrayed as a young woman, occasionally pregnant, though rarely (if ever) shown with children that are hers.

Asteroids are the modern feminine addition to astrology, with Ceres (Goddess of Grain, or Harvest), seen as the Mother of the other maidens.


Jupiter is also Zeus, who is definitely seen as an older male. A Zeus-Jupiter/ Aphrodite/Venus paring would fit what you asked about.

Saturn/Venus feels too much like father/daughter or boss/subordinate to work. Yet, Uranus/Venus might make quite an amazing match!


The myth of the birth of Venus is that Saturn castrated his tyrant father, Uranus, and the genitals fell into the sea, birthing both Venus and the Furies.
