Say you're allergic to it. I'm serious. You can be allergic to an ingredient and they have no way of proving you aren't. I haven't had a vaccine in forever because I have a sensitivity to eggs.

Take the vaccine, you deserve it since you work for these parasites. Why should you get off when your paycheck comes from evil?

Go to the gorcery store or drugstore/pharmacy near you that provides flu shots.

Arrive as a walk-in patient and ask to be given the flu vaccine.

They will have you pay for the shot and then ask you to sit down in their waiting area while you fill out "new patient" forms.

Once you've paid for the shot, now you have a dated receipt in your name for the flu shot.

Then, sit down with the paperwork, but fill nothing out on the form, set the forms/clip board aside, and go ask the receptionist where the restroom is.

Go to the restroom and never come back to the "clinic" waiting area.

The personnel at the "clinic" will think you chickened out on getting the shot because you hate shots.

And your employer will accept the receipt as proof that you received the flu shot.

I just found out last year that not only is there mercury in the thimiseral, but there's also formaldehyde...never noticed that one before...is it a new additive? Sure as hell won't be getting me to take one now, no matter what the consequences.

Making a fuss will never do anyone any good. It won't get the policies changed. You'll just lose your job, someone else will be hired instead, and they'll have the same requirment to get a flu shot. There's no benefit to any of us or anyone else if you create friction. Main one you'll hurt is yourself. And we don't want that.

They've tried hard to push these on us at work the last few years.

Usually, the people that do get them get sick right afterwords.

At first, my co-workers weren't sure whether what I was saying about them was correct.

Even if some vaccines do work...the 'flu shot' certainly isn't one of them.

It's big business and is more likely than not to actually weaken the immune system(JAMA).

Make up a religious reason, say you're a vegan, or take the difficult road and assert your civil liberties(and retain a lawyer).

One thing I would certainly do, myself, is ask for peer-reviewed studies showing that getting one makes you less likely to contract the flu than not getting one.

This would involve an experimental and control group.

If they can't provide one...you have no business getting medical attention for an illness you don't have.

Just remember, vaccine is a foreign man made material and a contaminate. Your employer is extorting you to waive your natural right of self-preservation for gainful employment privilege.

According to the Cochrane Foundation, which is one of the most scientific organisations and highly regarded by all science researchers,there is absolutely no proof found in all research material and studies that flu vaccines work as a preventive measure against the flu virus.
So it's all for pure financial gain.You can actually search their database for yourself if you don't believe the scam of flu vaccination.

Everyone thanks for the advice and suggestions, I emailed HR last week and said it is against my beliefs and I said I dont feel I just be forced to take a vaccine I dont want or need... I havent received a response yet. We had a meeting today and my manager said if we dont have the vaccine by Dec 1 we basically get a warning and then deadline will be pushed back. It sounded like we get so many warnings then we will be fired if we dont get it. If I have to I will try to use religion as an excuse. What religions would help me get out of this? Jehovahs Witness??? My second idea is to just go to get it and get the receipt and not have it done. Everyone again thanks for the ideas and support

What poster said above -- allergy to eggs -- worked for me too. Never took a flu shot. My boss took his every year and was sick for 6 weeks afterwards -- every year for the 10 years I worked for him.

Religious objection, you just said it.

No need, I signed a religious objection for my kids at school...they don't ask what religion. If they do you can make up something if you want...

I work in healthcare, and they will never make it mandatory where I am (really, they won't)

Now they have a company administer the whole HR thing. Now they could... no sign of that yet. But I'll tell 'em to stick it. I'm a "key personnel" and the place will sink without me, so I'm in a unique position...

A while back when doing insurance sign ups, they tried to get me to write down the names of all my family members, who they had health insurance with and what their policy and group number was (this was because I was declining the company insurance).

I was like WTF?? Told the insurance rep and HR company to stick it and that it was non of their business and an invasion of privacy to boot. This was last year.

Never heard another peep out of them. They backed down. I was prepared to walk right then and there if they pushed.

I live in Ohio and went through this when I worked for Children's hospital. You have 3 choices, allergy, philosophical and religious reasons.

Philosophical is a slippery slope.

Religious reasons, this is all you have to say, it is against my religion. That is it. They may try and bully you into defining your religion, naming your religious leader and more scare tactics. It doesn't, that is not the way the law is written in Ohio.

My experience is this. They want 100% compliance. It looks good on paper.

Ironically, I do all of our Joint Commission stuff, and this year one of the new requirements is to track flu vaccination rates of employees "with an eye towards increasing compliance".

Funny how I don't take flu shots and end up having to track our flu shot compliance for the Joint Commission.

i cannot take the flu vaccine. my doctors know this. they are obliged to ask me every year, but since it gave me pneumonia one year i will not take it. it has never once kept me from getting the flu.

there is a pneumonia vaccine that has not made me sick. it is once every five years. you might ask your doctor if you could take it instead?

Tell them you are allergic to latex.
