Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38478989 Its pretty simple. Act civil = get treated civil. If your rights are truly violated, you'll be compensated considerably. I'm not for the police, police state, etc. And I'm not against them either. Chances are if you dealt with what they deal with, some smart ass punk isn't going to receive your upmost respectable treatment. Yes I have been beat up by the police. Why? Felonious evasion. Thought I was a cool 18yo, and happened to have a faster than they did. Got pulled over by the same two cops a week later, and took my ass whippin. Never got charged for the fleeing/evasion, but I had enough sense to keep my mouth shut about the bumps and bruises. Could have made a stink about it as there were witnesses, who couldn't believe what they saw happen. A decade plus later, I've learned, if you aren't doing anything wrong you have no worries. Just treat the individual that is doing the job someone has to do, as you would like to be treated if you were that individual. These guys (cops) mostly don't want to waste time with traffic tickets, and other revenue producing infractions. They are generally in it for the real crime adrenaline rush stuff. They Have to do those menial tasks in between the exciting action. So when you act like a cocky/stuck-up/I know my rights/asshole, expect to be treated as such. No I'm not brief. Right on man. I also learned this lesson the hard way. The fact is we dont know the back story behind this video. Maybe they suspect this kid in trafficking or something. I got pulled over plenty for excessive noise or license plate light flickering, after i had made a name for myself. But the truth is i always got back the level of respect i gave. Without seeing the entire conversation we dont know the whole truth. This kid could have been cussing the cop out until he hit the play button for all we know. Please dont get me wrong. Police state and level of force needs to be held in check big time. This policy of tase first, ask later is BS. And the rash of tough guys shooting dogs is disgusting. But we dont know the whole story in this case. You sound like a coward who's willing to kowtow to an abusive pig rather than speak up to an OBVIOUS AND FLAGRANT violation of the law by an armed officer of the law. But you keep fighting every little perceived injustice. I mean "how dare they dump out your weed. You aint hirtin nobody!" Come back here in a few years and tell me how thats working for you. By the way, until he posts the entire exchange between him and the cop, nothing is obvious and flagrant. All morons hate it when you call them a moron. People always think something's all true. This was when I was in the USA. They don't want to be your friend. They want you to behave like a trained monkey. Those actions ARE NOT HIS JOB! Wait until it happens to you. Then you'll post here and whine and expect sympathy/validation from everyone. The kid DID NOT swear, threaten, or do anything at all to warrant those kind of threats or that kind of treatment and if everyone continues having attitudes like "hey, it's not MY business" things will get worse and worse. I've saved three people (strangers) lives I could have ignored from drowning. I could have said "hey, it wasn't "MY" business. Once it almost took my life and I ended up with stitches all over my body from rocks, mussels and barnacles. But the woman lived. Here, in Phoenix where I am now, a guy blew a stop sign and totaled my car. There was FIVE witnesses who were there and took pictures with their phones. All of them rode (golf carts), walked and drove away laughing and saying "we're not involved. We didn't see anything" when I asked if I could get a picture or help from at least ONE of them. They actually LAUGHED! Think I'm staying here? HELL NO! (it's amazing how cold people are here in this damn hot place) I'm going back to where people DO bother to get involved and help each other. Pussy's say "it's not MY problem" and then cry like hell when they need someone to help them. Think about it before it happens to you or someone you care about. Oh, I also held a woman's head for 1/2 hour and comforted her in a rollover accident, in the desert by Wickenburg, with her SUV. She was hanging upside down and frantically trying to undo her seat belt. I calmed her and held her head still until the EMS arrived. The ONE cop on sight did nothing. NOTHING! but walk (waddle, he was over weight) back and forth to his cruiser talking on the radio. The woman was grateful and had her family find me and called to thank me. The police never said a word to me. |
