No question that we are there.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11401586 This is interesting because nobody has these kinds of conversations in the media any more. Even the use of the word "propaganda" seems quaint. People today talk about nothing substantive. Nothing deep, no analysis of our country, or any kind of high level ideas. People today would find this show incredibly boring. Yet Huxley wrote some very prescient things (or were they) about eugenics and bioengineering that seem timely now. Is now the brave new world he wrote about? We're these things planned and blueprinted long ago?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42875131 All very true. Notice the nature of the men back then as well. Full of dignity, character, energetic, anchored in the conversation, oozing masculinity. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35430172 We're there and way beyond Huxley's wildest dreams. Soma. "All of the benefits of Christianity and alcohol without their defects." The religion of science and medicine comes to mind. Pharmaceuticals.... "Fluoride added for strong, healthy teeth." I saw this advertisement on jugs of water made for babies while combing the grocery isles for un-fluoridated water.
