The better the nest, the better the chances of the female picking him to mate with. well the scientists put a green band around a male and introduced him into the mix. The female bird instantly chose the male bird with this green coloured band around his neck. the other male bird, without the green coloured band, worked feverishly day and night to build a bigger and better nest for his potential mate...but to no avail, she just the handsome badboy with the green band around his neck. The other male bird died of sheer exhaustion and died in his own nest that he was building. ...figures... |
