Anyone have an idea of what might happen if the Sun's magnetic poles flip when Comet Ison is next to it in November?

A 3 mile wide object compared to the sun is not even worth mentioning.
You guys need to understand the sheer size of the sun. Even if Ison were 200 miles across it would not have any effect at all on the sun. Thousands of earths could fit inside the sun.
If the sun were the size of earth, comet Ison would be a grape.
I challenge everyone here to throw a grape at the ground and see what damage it does to earth.
