In all my years i have never seen what I just witnessed. A dragonfly acting like a moth fluttering obsessively around a porch light. I don't recall ever seeing a dragonfly at night ever. I looked for a relevant thread on strange animal behavior but none was current. Just thought it was odd.

seen a lot of bugs of many kinds doing the light dance just never a dragonfly. I also saw a dragonfly with one very stunted wing recently. I was amazed at how well it could still fly. this was last week.

hopefully just rare but normal. But with all the radiation and chemicals and solar system strangeness, I would hate to see the dragonflies die off. they are really good at hunting nuisance insects. And there are usually great swarms of them in the open fields around here in the southern U.S.
