This is what happens when a privately held company goes corporate. Wal-Mart was doing well until Sam Walton died. Then his money grubbing family from Bentonville, Arkansas took over & screwed the pooch. SAMs Club & Wal-Mart is total bullshit.

I hope they crash hard. Totally overblown company. Their products are cheap bullshit. They lost the principles upon which they were built. I'd much rather spend a few extra bucks & either shop at a local place, the farmer's market or even Whole Foods.

I said it about McDonalds and WalMart both. I don't go to either. We buy most of our groceries from a local-ish store. They have 30 or so stores but all in this area. We buy veggies/produce from a couple farmers that live a couple miles down the road.

We still eat shit food from time to time, but haven't been to a mcdonalds in over a year. Some people do stick to it when they boycott a company. Not all I know...but some do.

So, what's your "beef" lol, with McDonalds?

IF I needed to go buy some cheap shit I'd go to Target maybe. Not Wal-Mart. I was involved with a business that did business for SAMs Club awhile back ~ like 9 years ago & got a good inside view as to how their business practices are. They are not worth a shit.

I vote with my $$ ~ and spend it carefully. That doesn't mean I would compromise my values to save a buck.

I went to Safeway to stock up for a trip, they had sale prices cheaper than wallyworld.

I wont buy meat there from Walmart, you have to be insane to buy meat from that store. We bought hamburger and forgot about it, days and days and days later it was still bright pink.

I avoid WalMart too, and give my business to the Fred Meyer right next door. It's the same type of store but much higher class.
None of "those types" of people there.



But Fred Meyer closes at 10pm; the WalMart is 24hrs.
So I've been to WalMart a few times and saw all the circus freaks, homeless bums, and meth-heads. And you know what? The prices are roughly the same.
So those who shop at WalMart for low prices are kidding themselves.

We have reduced our monthly Walmart purchases from about $400.00 down to about $120.00

Other stores can have the lions share of my grocery and clothing money.

I swear the requirements for working there must be:

1) Live in a trailer park
2) 100 pounds over weight
3) Severe allergic reaction to soap and water
