How do people have enough free time in their days to join secret societies? I try to schedule a pick up basketball game with friends and we're lucky to get in 2 games in the same month.

I'm not entirely opposed to the concept of secret societies, but before I considered joining one they would have to change their ways quite a bit. Off the top of my head, some suggestions:

1. Remote video conferencing
2. No putting your hands on any part of my body ever
3. None of those corny rituals, with the pseudo-satanic BS
4. 24 hour accessibility
5. Dues under $100 per year
6. Ledger of all activities conducted by the lodge, accessible to all dues payers
7. More innovation, less infiltration

To get to 33rd degree, the mason must perform a great work(or project) to further the progress towards "the great work" which is euphamism for one world totalitarion government, often referred to by Masons as "benevolent dictatorship"....An example of a "great work" is a recruiting quota, i know for a fact this to be true, however, not just anyone will do for. 33rd membership drives... In the lodge i attend, the pressure is on to recruit police as Mason's influenece is waning considerably. My friend has been tasked with recruiting at least 10 members of a California cities police department.

My father was a 33rd degree mason and did a lot of Shriner charity work in his life. He always wanted to do business with a Mason when possible. He was a powerful business man in his prime. It was important to him to be buried with his apron on. He had terminal cancer, and he asked me to make sure many times that I took the apron to the funeral home and that it was put on him. He never did tell me (his daughter) much about the organization even though I asked him several times throughout his life. When I asked him if he believed in God he would just say he believed in a Supreme Being. He was from very active in the 1950's and 60's era. He was a wonderful man and great father. When doing research on my families paternal line (genealogy)had consecutive high level Masons in my family back to New Amsterdam, NY in the mid 1600's and I'm sure in Europe prior to that. Interesting topic to me!
