Satan is "the god of this age", and offered the world to Jesus if he'd just bow down and worship him. If you want to blame someone for this horrible world, blame Satan, and blame people for their willing participation in evil.

Blaming invisible people for your problems is a sign of mental illness. Don't worry, there is help.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43993463

But YOU blamed God for it, so make up your mind. Or maybe you can't, which is mental illness...

(all you ACs get treated alike, as far as I'm concerned. Can't be bothered to have an account and a name? Not my fault.)

Do you pray to same god As Muslims?

As Buddhists?
 Quoting: Astral Goat

Buddhists don't believe in a Deity. Hell for a Buddhist would simply mean to be reborn here in a physical body and to have to overcome the human condition again.

Re: Religious fundamentalism could soon be treated as mental illness
oh crazy religious people. always fun to mess with.

i like to get in to conversations with them and they say they hear and talk to god and have a relationship with him/her/it and that they do whatever god tells them to do.

then i ask "if you were talking to god, and god asked you to kill your kid, would you?"

i don't often get a straight answer to that, but it's always funny to watch them try and reconcile the issue. often religious people are not aware of the fact that they are more moral than any of the gods out there that they actually believe exist.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39528859

Yeah, they say an entity that orders a mock execution of a child is a moral authority.

Its crazy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1416114

let's not forget the god of bible killed like 2+ million people. he allowed satan to only kill like 10. who's the bad guy now?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 39528859

You mean the creator of the universe? Who punishes people for sinning? After hundreds of years of evil?

This was all covered like ten pages back.

You hate God's authority, because it means you are not the center of everything. Understandable.

As far the mock execution comment, God tests us all in different ways.

These types of comments are a perfect example of the fall and disobedience of man.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44444698

Would you say a mock execution of a child is a good "test"?

Are you telling me all that God, the most powerful entity in the universe, can do is look on for hundreds of years and then punish us?

Has it worked so far? God killed every human on earth exept one family and that did not work. Like some of you religious people are saying. We are back to the days of Noah. What is Gods options now?

You do know what doing the same thing over again and expecting different results is the definition of right?

NO but the sending of His only Child to die at the hand of men who tortured and killed Him for your salvation sounds pretty loving.

And like yourself saying the same things over and over again is futile as well. All of creation shows the creators hand. Just because you cant see God doesnt mean he isnt there. He told us we would not see Him because they day we did in our bodies, we would surely die.

What are Gods options now? You must be joking! Havent you read of them? You blatantly throw around phrases to imply like you know something of the word, as if you had read it...it isnt working

The Marxist world agenda wants to get rid of Belief in God
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44916217

Correct! God tells us in those days the only thought that would be continually on the mind of mankind will be that of evil. And that in those days men would do what was right in their own eye.

Everything is accelerating now in frequency and intensity!

What direction do you think this is taking?

We cant post the ten commandments in our public offices but we will allow murals depicting death and murder?

We wont call Islam what it is, but deploy our troops to combat it, and tell them they cant pray in the name of their savior Jesus?

We cant help burned areas in arizona, but we can send 195 million dollars of aid to muslim nations?

This whole thing with evil and good has a direction and a mission to accomplish, in the minds of evil and depraved men.

Im just tired of the media and our president and all of his worhtless buttlicking cronies! Its fucking sickening!
 Quoting: saved

crowd-applause
 Quoting: The Comedian

One thing about a relationship with God, and im referring to the only true living God. Truth and wisdom are imparted to you the more you seek HIM. And this knowledge and wisdom not only transforms your life, but your mind as well.

So it makes it so difficult to ignore the stupidity of fallen man, and to tolerate those who havent just fallen but instead have given themselves over to heathenistic ideologies that they parade under the banner of religion. As if doing things with fervor or conviction will make it appear more religious.

Religions are mans ideas of who and what God is. And if men say that god is this or god is that, how is it you will know the difference if you havent bothered to experience what God himself is offering first? All men are not basically good, God says all men are inherently EVIL! And its only through the knowledge of Him and the acceptance of His forgiveness that we can be transformed.

Current white house leadership have openly displayed their depraved ideas to turn this country around. They have shown that it was never their intention to turn government around like they claimed, to be elected. But instead to change this nation into a nation like any other nation. Where all can please their flesh as freely as they so choose, and i think the depravity is just getting started. Its why our thing in office claims that we must all put aside our religious ideologies and philosophical ideas, so that equality and harmony can come. It is a fact that he said this.

These religious and philosophical ideas, are the very things that define our existence as human beings. God says for that a man thinketh in his heart, that he is also! That coupled with the fact that since the dawn of mankind, evil and good have been at opposition and declared by God can never have harmony!!!!

Ingest that mentally as well as spiritually for a moment. And then listen to the thing in office bad mouth the president of Russia for arresting homosexuals and muslims.

The fundamental values that once made this country, greater than any other nation on earth!! But the thing in office wants to see those who practice sexual deviance winning in the olympics!!! Do any of you notice that the actual "gaffes" the president makes arent gaffes? But in fact are the very things he himself is promoting? And then the media says he misspoke. God says the mouth speaks from the depths of the heart. HIs gaffes are rather ironic dont you think?

Kind of like his latest gaffe where he says he is amazed more americans arent dying from terrorism? When he himself and this administration are the biggest supporters of global terror on the planet! These arent gaffes people! It is a clear demonstration of what is truly in his heart. Remember his talk about his muslim faith? And then the correction george helped him to make? BUt then theres the comment he himself made, about if the political winds should shift he would fall on the side of Islam? And theres the comment how America will never be at war with Islam yet war war war war war war! Against who are we fighting then, if it isnt predominantly islamic nations? WHat a fucking epic putz?

No not really he isnt stupid as he lets on, he is calculating and cunning!

That being said God calls us to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Does that sound like Islam to any of you? Or do you think God tells us to be wise as serpents, because one day the serpent of old would be presenting himself as God?

Why does the torture and killing of a human lead to salvation?

When you come down to it. Jesus Christ was a human sacrifice that worked.

Even in Gods finest hour its about death and suffering.

Please tell me the Options of God for our salvation this time.

Does it by any chans involve massive death and suffering?

"Obviously, this treatment is aimed at people suffering from the psychological effects of radical Islam, but there's no reason why it couldn't be just as successful on those suffering from the psychological effects of zionism or fundamental Christianitity."e

No doubt there's some batshit crazy Christians out there. However, when was the last time one of them strapped a bomb to themselves in the name of Jesus Christ?

They're trying to equate Christianity with Islam.

There's a BIG difference!

Salvation is NOT FREE.

ITS THE WORST BLACKMAIL EVERY PERPETUATED ON THE HUMAN RACE!!

WE dont get A CHOICE TO LOVE GOD..WE ARE forced into it WHICH proves god does not love!!!!

You cannot FORCE someone to LOVE you by threatening to burn them alive forever..YOU CANT do that and call it LOVE!

If a man on earth did this..threatened a woman with torture if she did not marry him..and actually DID torture her when she refused..for OBVIOUS reasons..he would be EXECUTED or locked away in a mental house for LIFE!!

BUT GOD says and does the SAME THING TO US!!

FIRST..he FORCES us to be born IN SIN..in a system HE SET UP..PLANNED..AND CREATED..FULLY KNOWING what will happen..he FORCED this life upon us..we DID NOT ASK for it.

Then to confuse the living crap out of us he lets us live with about 50,000 differing religions..MOST of them more or less the same..DO things THEIR way or SUFFER forever...

And then..when we DONT love God the way HE is blackmailing us to do with all his threats....HE HAS US tortured TO DEATH..IN A DEATH THAT never ends..FOR NOT loving such a screwed in the head tyrannical sicko !

BUT WHO would?

WOULD you LOVE SOMEONE WHO forced YOU TO LOVE THEM??

Then WHY does GOD EXPECT..nay..DEMAND..we love HIM..when he threatens to TORTURE US FOREVER if we DONT..for living a life HE FORCED on us?

Yes, salvation is free. You have a choice between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. Your analogy is ridiculous; you are burning a straw man.

You like the way Satan's been running the world? Want it forever? Then go on as you are. Don't like it? Then come to God on his terms, which are EASY and FREE FOR YOU. Then make your choice and stop all this whining.

Most christians I have ever known ONLY bow to god because of the THREAT of eternal torture..NOT because they actually and truly LOVE him.

They are in TERROR of him..so they BOW>.grovelling..always in FEAR..but LOVE??..they DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS..because the God they GROVEL to DOES NOT KNOW WHAT it is EITHER.

Its all FEAR and THREATS.

FAKE love..FORCED love..IS NOT LOVE..its a LIE..and a COLLOSSAL ONE!..and GOD knows it too....

If there was no threat of hell or torture MOST christians would not BE christians..they would live their lives AS they please..they never really LOVE this God they worship..its just they are too AFRAID NOT to at least PRETEND to love him for fear of what he will DO to them if they DONT!

If you knew for a FACT there was NO HELL..HOW would you live your life?

I bet you would just live it up..because really..when all is said and done..NONE of you LOVE God..you only love YOURSELF..always trying to save your OWN ass from this God of terror and DOOM!

WHO IS A FAKE AND UNREAL GOD..a very SATANIC god.

And you lot BOW to him..and in doing so..you are hypocites.

You become what you idolise..and that is why MOST christians are so full of HATE..and JUDGMENT and EVIL and HYPOCRISY because the god they bow to is EXACTLY the SAME.

The REAL God...is the OPPOSITE of the ones you all grovel to..and you are yet to realise it being so MIRED in FEAR and SELF!

Nobody forced me to love God. He didn't force be neither did he torture me or anybody else. I love him for creating me, I love him for creating this Earth, I love him cause he loves me even if I sin, he loves me so much. When I feel sad, he wipes away my tears and makes me forget bad thoughts. Even if the situation can't get worse he gives me hope. He is always here, and he puts up with me, even if I do wrong things, he still loves me. He gives me sense of morality and gives me wisdom. But what's the point of talking about it, you can't understand him, cause you don't know him.

Re: Religious fundamentalism could soon be treated as mental illness
God says to me, "Forgive your enemies."

I say, "I do;"

but he says, "I will torture MINE forever and ever in unbearable AGONY."

God should be consistent.

If he wants me to forgive my enemies he should forgive his.

I am asked to forgive enemies who can hurt me.

God is only asked to forgive enemies who cannot hurt him.

He certainly ought to be as generous as he asks us to be.

God says, "I'll buy your way out of the kingdom of Satan. All you have to do is trust me."

But YOU say, "NO! I hate you! I hate all your followers! I shouldn't have to be tortured just for hating you! I don't want your free pass!"

Stop burning your straw man, and stop hurling your hate issues all over Christian threads. You're not helping anyone.

This worlds justice system..while unfair in a lot of cases usually fits the punishment to the crime.

You speed..you get a fine..you steal..you get a bigger fine and locked away for a bit..you kill..you get locked away for a fair while..

But Gods justice system is the opposite..

You steal..you get tortured forever without mercy..

You swear even..same result..you do anything wrong no matter how big or small..and its TORTURE TIME!!!!

God has one punishment for all..ETERNAL TORTURE with NO PAROLE..MERCY..SYMPATHY..COMPASSION..REHABILITATION..OR LET UP...

And HIS ways are supposed to above OURS?

How many fathers on earth would torture their kids for the rest of their lives for stealing a cookie from the cookie jar?

NONE..except the really fucked up ones who DO get locked awy for doing it..

But when GOD does it..we honor him and build churches in his name...

Satan would be so proud of it.

Why do you think God let's Satan walk the Earth for thousand years? He gives him chance to repent. Satan a powerful angel and very beautiful. Do you know what fallen angels did on this Earth? They raped women and produced Nephilim, then they taught how to make war, how to do abortions and other evil stuff. But God still let's Satan walk the Earth and let's him free from Hell, but Satan wants power, his soul has grown cold and evil.

You're still burning a straw man. God DOES fit the punishment to the crime; that's what judgment day is for, when each person gives an account of their life and is either rewarded or punished accordingly.

But WHERE you experience those rewards or punishments is a completely different matter. It is determined only by which kingdom you choose.

Now TRY AND LISTEN for a change; drop the baggage and just read what I said right here. Try it one time.

I wasnt talking abouyt satan.

He is evil.

Its what he is and what he does.

I was talking about ordinary people.

Every day joes like you and me and the farmer up the road.

They going to be burnt alive forever too?

What about your mother and father?

You would accept their eternal torture without a wince??

Would you still bow to God as he forced your mother through the gates of hell and you heard her screams??

Two places is what you are saying.

SCREAMING in hell..no matter HOW evil you were or if you were just an ordinary person...or bowing in heaven to the one who threw your mother and father in there because they were not a chriastian..is that it?

I bet as your parents are thrown in you would clap and cheer as those Evil horrible people" got what they deserved for not being a christian.
And then bow and kiss Jesus feet right after he sent yuou parents to be toreutreed in his dungeon forever.

OH the love and compassion of christians never ends does it.

Every person gets what he deserves. I really hope Stalin burns in Hell and I really hope that other evil people through the history feel the same what other people felt from them. I will do anything to save my parents and get them to Heaven. If they won't get to Heaven then it's what they deserve. One lie can start a war and kill millions. One single lie.
