Reading all of these comments has brought a thought to mind...

The USA has allowed millions on welfare...has made getting food stamps easy when they are needed...sometimes when they are not needed. Tens of thousands of free phones have been handed out. Now even the comfort of maybe being able to see a doctor if you get sick.

Why? It is almost the benevolence of a parent giving a child everything it wants because the parent knows the child is dying of an incurable disease...and the parent only wants the child content and happy...until the bitter end.

Perhaps the government is just keeping the masses happy and fed...as it buys time with "keep busy" news reports and world events.

If we are watching TV...football...eating chicken wings...and waxing all the new cars, we are not looking up or causing trouble.

Maybe the government does not even care about paying off a national debt they know will become moot soon. Just spend like there is no tomorrow because...
