Why haven't more people here on read Huxley's writings?
Well duh, my mistake! I forgot most people today don't read, they watch TV and videos...

I'm not sure of his motivation for doing so either... I love Manly Hall's take on secret societies: they exist mainly for clean-up jobs. I listen at least once a week to Manly Hall. Hundreds of his lectures are uploaded to the Internet. Guys like him, and Aldous Huxley, Krishnamurti, Joseph Campbell, left behind a treasure-trove of wisdom, but alas, their aspirations of a kinder, gentler world have yet to be.
