curi0sis*SolSis User ID: 44973960 Canada 08/12/2013 12:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nice thread Hugh, thanks! Saw a few last night, going back out for more now. Here's wishin' upon a star you all get to catch some :-) "But the plans were on display . . ." "On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them." "That's the display department." "With a torch." "Ah, well the lights had probably gone." "So had the stairs." "But look, you found the notice, didn't you?" "Yes," said Arthur, "yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying Beware of the Leopard." -Chapter One, H2G2 |
Isis One User ID: 14343270 United States 08/12/2013 12:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Saw about 10 before the cloud cover :( Three were really nice ones, the rest looked like regular shooting stars. The one I was 4 nights ago must have been an Aquarid as it came out of the northwest. Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... So don't focus so much on radiant, that is the onrush as we move through the debris trail of the comet, where they "radiate" from But last shower, I think Leonids, I was fortunate enough to see smoke/vapor trail for this one very bright fireball |
