I wish GLP would delve deeper into why Chief Justice Roberts ALLOWED the Bill to stand. It had... it had to be threats. Right, I heard months ago it was threats. I cannot, nor can anyone prove this. Does make sense. I think too many people, esp GLP'rs, let it slide without LOOKING INTO IT FURTHER. I mean, even all the betting sites and even Intrade had it 60/40, with leaks saying the 'pre-vote' was 5-4 in striking the law. If there was a PR campaign to stop it being "Obamacare" and have it called "RobertsCare" - Then I really think it could get to the bottom of why he let it stand. The number one most important thing to the Joint Commission is medication reconciliation, that is, actually viewing each and every medication bottle every single home health visit. Patient depressed? Up the meds. Patient gaining water weight? Up the meds. I see people on 40-50 meds. No joke. We have to do a special, federally mandated assessment called the OASIS assessment. It's been around since 1999. One of the part on it is all about "patient safety". I'm betting dollars to donuts the next revision will have a question about if the patient owns any firearms. |
