Tennessee has been nothing but a humid mild/hot summer with once again above average rainfall, yet plants, flowers, bushes, grass is going brown and dying despite the weather being perfect for it to grow and strive in. Not just trying to go all full retard pattie brassard and pole shift imminent, but what else describes this? My heart is burdened that very soon we will understand what is happening. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 45131562 United Kingdom 08/15/2013 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone have leaves turning color already and falling in North America? Have some turning purple, red, and others normal but already falling, like lots. Seems early. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19150488 Anyone else? Leaves turning "purple" is not a sign of "fall" but is a sign of ultraviolet radiation damage. The seasons are like a month or more, now, ahead of schedule. At this rate, expect a killing frost in early October or even late September. Moreover, the ultraviolet radiation damage will cause increased cases of skin cancers and worse. Further, this ultraviolet radiation is added to the nuclear fallout we are receiving from Fukushima. Expect thyroid cancer incidence to go through the roof. You had better be ingesting iodine via kelp or other supplement (to keep out iodine-131) and lots of calcium and potassium to keep out strontium 90 and cesium 137. Wear long sleeves when outdoors and a hat... eventually, as the pole shift greatly reduces the magnetic shield, you'll not be able to go outside at all... and eventually will have to be 3 to 20 feet under ground to avoid being cooked by cosmic and solar radiation. |

Oh, its much more complex than that, and it is a 200,000-300,000 year cycle... I'm wondering. How's the North Atlantic current these days? Didn't it come almost to a stop back during the BP fiasco in the gulf? Not sure about now, but if still sluggish, that could explain the weird weather just about everywhere (beyond our current solar issues). Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |

I read an article in the local paper about the little Oriole birds disappearing a month early. They think they migrated already. People noticed that their bird houses were vacated at the end of July. Then I started looking around. Yes, the leaves are changing color into the reds and golds already. Mid August should be a hot sultry month. We have a built in swimming pool and I've only been in it twice this whole summer. (If you can even call this a summer.) We had two weeks of summer weather. It now totally feels like fall. It will be interesting to see what the Woolybears (caterpillars) predict this year. It's an annual tradition in Vermillion, Ohio. The colors of the woolybears predicts how severe or mild our winter will be. |

High temp this year has been 88 F, normally its 90+ every day from May-Sept. Last year 3 days in a row were 100+. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36194114 Today the high was 76. In 40 years I've never experienced "summer" temps like these. Nice, but very queer. I almost posted this very thread this morning. Near Atlanta this morning had a rain of yellow leaves falling in the breeze, yard is covered in leaves. |

JasmineinNM User ID: 15256858 United States 08/15/2013 11:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yup! we don't have falling leaves here in SE Kansas, but i have noticed radiation burn holes, in the grass, some trees leaves, very obvious...some strand blades of grass are deep red or purple. this was a particular batches of thunderstorms in Middle July, and late July, when the BURN HOLES began in what was, perfectly normal ELM leaves. were all green, until end of July, BURN HOLES. the holes are tan to burned edging, and brown or orange/red. easy to see HOT rain drops did that. since the same time, mid late July, my garden almost shut down it's normal growth, i have green tomatoes stuck in green. and SWISS CHARD turned PURPLE, with numerous burn holes. MUTATIONS IN SQUASH FLOWERS, and SQUASH. red cabbage has numerous purple spots since late July t-storm. some of the sunflower leaves, are now wilting, and show some burned edges. and we have a very wet season here. i believe the excess rains are caused by methane gas, coming from the GOM, and, THE NORTH POLE. Quoting: GetaClue 44956286 So sorry to hear this happened to your garden....and yard. |

Yes thank u Delmarva Peninsula has very cool days, lots of trees started turning a few leaves to color around the first week of August, some falling now. I think it is simply cool enough. And now that I think of it, the Canada geese from 2 very close ponds are gone. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Cool with crickets out already. Some leaves falling. It is def not normal. I like it because it beats the 90 degree sultry weather we normally have this time of year - but its a bit spooky.
