Bloody nose caused by Fukushima? I live in alaska!
My daughter who is almost four years old gets bloody noses after it rains every time. She goes to preschool and plays outdoors twice a day when it's sunny. It rained all week and tonight she had one of many bloody noses that have started back in November 2012. Has anyone else been experiencing this as well? What can I give her to protect her? It makes me mad that I know what's going on in the world. I almost feel helpless but there has to be something she can take to help protect her.

I have. All they tell me is its due to dry air here in alaska. Bullshit! Not like this. I'm sick of the medical system. I don't want to rely on them.

Actually I have lived in many different places and my lips chap much much worse in colder regions than in warm ones.

The only time I've ever gotten a random bloody nose was in the super dry cold, like 10 years ago.

Sorry no doom, bundle up and drink more water and get her some lip balm.

I got out of there a few months ago
because i kept getting sick and depressed
and wondered if was due to lack of decent
sunshine, Fukushima or some kind of
bad energy. There was lots of road rage, anger
and general misery so i went south.

Best move i ever made for multiple reasons.

And to anyone who thinks Alaska is a land of
freedom, it's rated 44 among the states
in freedom. There were cop cars everywhere
always stopping people.

Nasty place, everything is much better where I
am now. Don't miss all that insanity one bit.

I grew up here my whole life and I am ready to leave. I brought a child into this world and honestly Alaska is not the place for it. Anchorage has turned into welfare nation. I am not bashing islanders but they have taken over this city.

I am ready to leave once we have saved enough money to get out of here. Hopefully by that time it's not too late.

I live on the island of Okinawa and there are no health issues here (yet). But I had the same issue as a kid in cold dry climates. Use a Q-tip with a little olive oil to coat the inside of her nose before bed. It's not a cure all but it helps. Plus, make sure it's not from her digging for gold.

Thanks I will research. I don't think it's her picking her nose since she's asleep when the bloody nose starts.

You can also use a tiny bit of organic, virgin olive oil inside the nose.

It helps with allergies, and it's anti-fungal/anti-microbial.

Give it a try!

Re: Bloody nose caused by Fukushima? I live in alaska!
I agree with you OP about Alaska. It's NOT a place to raise a child. I left with my 6-year old in the mid-80s because if I didn't, he would, six feet under right now. Along with myself. Just one bad-ass place to live. Beautiful scenery, but death all around.

Alaska has very dry air with Southeastern being the exception. Using a humidifier everyday was normal. Just like taking your Vitamin D3 tablet.

Fast forward, have another child whose nose bleeds every single time it gets dry out. Doctors have no explanation so what I do is pump the house again with water from several humidifiers and especially in his bedroom - day and night. It's the only method that works.

Several friends still commercial fish in the Gulf of Alaska and Bristol Bay - they say the beaches are full of Fukushima debris, and I've told them to buy a Geiger counter before they are tempted to pick any of it up. They did that am I'm waiting to hear their results. But it's a HUGE mess up there - the seals have open sores, now happening to polar bears and other wildlife. I'm thinking radiation, maybe side effects from HAARP. Maybe both. Something's wrong, that's for sure.

I say, don't eat ANYTHING that coming out of the Pacific, including crab. Maybe the interior lakes and rivers (fish) are okay, I don't know. fish

Hope this helps OP.

Thank you. Where did you get your information on seals and polar bears? I would like to look into it. I can also ask my northern alaska family if they've notice anything different about the sea life and land animals they hunt.

Doubtful. I live less than 200km from Fukushima and my 3 year old has never NEVER had a bloody nose, EVER.
However, as a child growing up in Nebraska, I used to have frequent bloody noses from the dry air there.

Ten years ago Anchorage was a beautiful and
somewhat safe city, but since then the demographics
have changed. Many people from other countries
have moved there taking many jobs, and the number
of criminals and homeless has increased dramatically.

I have a child who has had wild nosebleeds since maybe year one or two.

I would NOT blame radiation. What I would do is find a doctor you like and talk to him or her.

My child's nosebleeds are still occurring and they can frighten others - sleepovers, schools should be in the loop.

Good luck!
