Doomsday Sandcastle - a prepper's response to tv reality show, Doomsday Castle
The new reality show, Doomsday Castle, is yet another example of the prepper community being portrayed as bunch of paranoid lunatics. The Doomsday Sandcastle website is a response from the legitimate prepper community to inform individuals of the proper reasoning and techniques of prepping.

Doomsday shows are popular amongst the prepper community, and although we may gain a tip now and then, are basically considered reality comedy shows. Perhaps the most interesting fact is that prepping is gaining attention on the national stage, unfortunately the shows are produced by persons with preconceived notions from outside the community. Doomsday Castle offers us a man with a dream, three lovely princesses, a court jester, the facade of a castle and the threat of doom. Perfect makings for our modern day reality show but absent of any logical or basic prepping techniques which can save lives.

While most laugh, a bug-out bag in the their simplest form could save the life of your family member tonight. Imagine that your smoke alarm goes off, you awaken in total darkness to the smell of smoke and realize that there's no electricity. How would you and your children react? Would you fumble around for shoes, clothing and an exit while freaking out? A simple bag in the corner or behind the door with a change of clothes and a flashlight tied to it could save your lives. A bug-out bag is a very simple method to assure that your family could escape a burning house or apartment in the absolute minimum time possible.

Do you have a bug-out bag?
Do any of the Doomsday Castle cast have a bug-out bag in their real homes?

Why do all of the prepper shows deal with 'doomsday' scenarios and not show their audience the simplest of preparations which could save lives tonight. Why do they not take 10 minutes of each show to teach basic first-aid techniques or the components of a basic first-aid kit?
