The "rebellion that causes desolation" in Danial 8 starts in the south, then moves to the east, then enters the beautiful land. That was prophesied nearly 3000 years ago.

So the Arab Spring started south of Israel(in Tunesia, Egypt and Libya) then moved up the coast east of Israel (into Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Jordan) then moved into Syria, which is historically called "the beautiful land." The result, leaving Israel surrounded by rebellion.

I think we're seeing a biblical fulfillment here. Just saying.
