Can't even conceive. The Joint Chiefs understand their place in the food chain, which is the ONLY reason why they obey the orders of civilians. If such an act was actually perpetuated, the word "COUP" wouldn't even be off the tips of anyone's tongues before they were asserting their Constitutional obligation to protect and defend us. Period. And I HAVE to have faith in that obligation, because I'd have no business referring to the nation I was born & raised in as "home" otherwise. That notwithstanding, I would expect every man, woman, and child to rise to the occasion as well, the very existence of the nation being at risk immediately and existentially.
