Are you serious???? You think that a person who enters your home uninvited with a gun drawn might just want to play checkers??? Surely you can't be so naive. Do you honestly think you should wait until you're at death's door before you defend yourself???

If you saw him approaching the kids with his rifle drawn, and you had the means to end him before he killed them would you not feel compelled to act?
