...

the comment is about the legal basis for the law

"a woman's right to do what she wants with her own body"
 Quoting: Rev StarGazer

Protection of born children are more important. The woman can not kill the killed after she has had it.

You have a right to mutilate yourself if you want , but there is no right to having a industry around it , if it hurts underage children.

you think its ok for a 14 year old to be a prostitute just because she see's a sexy whore walking the streets making money? Because that's what your statement implies.
 Quoting: I+V=BLOOD

Slow down dude - I think you are having reading comprehension difficulty. I was clarifying the meaning of the post you were bashing out of obvious confusion.

It wasn't my statement, nor the other poster's - it is the rational for the legalization of abortion.
 Quoting: Rev StarGazer

same thing dude.... protection of Children in all situations.A child seeing a what they believe is cool and harming themselves .. is not cool.
 Quoting: I+V=BLOOD

Then you're going to have a LOT of banning and outlawing to do!

Let's start with alcohol...

cars too - driving is dangerous but it looks like so much fun

dancing too - it can kill children

Missy brings up Female Genital mutilation which has nothing to do with scarification.
Around here the scarification thing is mainly a black thing.
If Missy is a racist, I'm proud of her, but she just sounds stupid like she's really all about the safety of it. Bottom line is she's a busybody. It's none of her business.

"For the children"
How dare they pretend anything is for the children, meanwhile they're trying to trick entire generations into believing it's cool to be gay. This is all so sickening.

I don't have any tattoos and don't want any but if you want them that is your business.

However,,,,,,don't you find it interesting how hip tats were/are but now tptb are saying they are not cool?

Out my way nearly everybody I see (summertime and shorts and short sleeves or tank tops......you can see plenty of skin and there is plenty of skin out my way that has tats all over them.

Now another thought: Perhaps the new order won't like tats and will establish an entire class of people based on them having tats or not having tats and then segregating them.

Well, did you notice that perhaps in most movies the bad guys all have tats..

How about in the film Elysium...? Who had tats and who didn't.

Just surmising.

The new class of the "marred an scarred" vs "the pure".

Just a thought.

To the generous person who gave me the thumbs down.. There is no "freedom of expression," in the Constitution.

The term, "Freedom of Expression," refers the rights to freedom of speech, press, assembly and to petition the government for a redress of grievances, not parade around like animals or tattoo swastikas on your foreheads.

The Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that would ban non-traditional body art and skin implants.

The bill's sponsor, Senator Missy Irvin of Mountain View, wants to limit body art procedures, particularly scarification and dermal implants.

Stupid law. It gives licsense for the cops to now arrest people for something that would be a part of their body?

Grandfather clause would protect that I'm sure. There is no way you would be required to get an expensive procedure to undo a past mod for reasons that are outside of your control.

Body modification does NOT a criminal make. I have non traditional piercings, and I have never had ONE run in with the law. Pass your judgement on those who deserve it.
