Anonymous Coward User ID: 45457056 Hong Kong 08/20/2013 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is not something that is not geared toward "normal" tattoos and piercings. This is geared toward people who tattoo horrific things on their faces, and have implanted hooks in their skin, horns in their heads, whiskers in their cheeks, (i.e the guy who has cheetah spots tattooed all over, including his face, and had whiskers implanted).. Quoting: iamlizzyb Yes, it is borderline encroaching, but people who do this are mentally unstable, and yes, it sets a bad example for children and society. Oh, and before I am labeled some anti-everything/pro gov. person, I'm not! I have piercings and tattoos. Who cares if they are 'crazy'? As long as they are not hurting anyone else, what's the problem? And as for setting a 'bad example' for children, LOL! have you been to a Walmart lately?! Scary people at Walmart are traumatizing, I agree. However, seeing people with the over the top horns, complete facial tats, and extreme things of that nature is what I was referring too. Please, I mean no disrespect, but the whole "I'm not hurting anyone else," excuse is ridiculous, and overplayed. If they are mutilating their body, it needs to stop. If I were to chop off my hand, because I thought it was cool, then I would be committed, but if I mutilate my face, and have horns implanted, and have hooks sewn in my back to hang from, its no problem?? That's like lobbying for suicide. Has humanity lost all sense of pride, self-respect, morality, decency, values, and dignity? Didn't your mother teach you to mind your own damn business? Your idiotic example of chopping off your own arm isn't relevant to a person making a tiny incision, avoiding harm to themselves as much as possible, in order to modify their body how they see fit. No government should have the ability to make this kind of law in a place that considers itself free. We all hate fat lard asses with greasy clothes, those people are completely offensive, but you do not see people clamouring to make law limiting their want to be fat and disgusting. |

I don't like the government involvement either, and we certainly don't need anymore legislation. I am left wondering though, who will stop all this? People have just lost all their marbles, so if there isn't a law/regulation to stop crap like that, how do we contain the madness? It has been around for a long, long long time. It is a practice that is older than written history, it has simply become more hygienic and safe with the onset of of its rise in popularity in Western body modification circles using modern equipment and materials. This isn;t anything new to people in the industry, it is new to you because you have no fucking idea what it is all about,. hence you should not be involved in writing any law for it, like that ignorant Senator. |

They are purposefully undermining the system to create outrage amongst a group of people they believe to be easily manipulated. They are spurring general distrust of the system as a whole when the real truth is they system works, it’s the politicians in the system that all need removed. The precedence of slowly destroying our constitutional rights must stop or they will win and we’ll agree to destroy our own system and replace it with governmental dictatorship of one form or another. It is working, the people are latching on to the idea of distrust of the system and not distrust of the manipulators of the system. Combined with their paranoia and victimhood syndrome it is a recipe for completely dysfunctional government. That the bill has some wording about female circumcision is out of this world retarded. There is absolutely no one who does this willingly, in the United States. It is not a part of the body modification industry. That you must draft and sponsor an unconstitutional bill of law in order to deal with it speaks volumes on the sponsors idiocy. |
