You know what is so messed up? All of my friends back home think/assume that fukushima is already resolved. They have no idea what's going on over here. When I try to talk about it to my foreign friends here in Japan, they assume all is well, too. If I give some information about the situation that is scary (but true) they say I'm fear mongering, or that I'm having too much anxiety and I need to seek help (get on Prozac) to deal with my PTSD. Oped News By Ethan Indigo Smith, 20 Aug 13 "..........Admittedly the global nuclear experiment is difficult to wrap one's head around, but the fact is that we know it is made up of entropy and death. Here are a few simple ideas to remind people who have chosen to remain ignorant of nuclear experimentation because it is nightmarish and complicated: 1. Primarily and originally weaponry. 2. Some elements used in the experiment will remain toxic the next couple of million years, others the next couple hundred thousand. 3. The nuclear industry elements must be mined which like other mining as well as oil and natural gas extraction destroys the environment it is mined from, the area it is processed in and the area it is used. 4. The nuclear experimentation industry is based on secrets beginning with militarization in World War Two. The nuclear experimentation industry is based on lies beginning with the first meltdowns and illegal dumping of who knows what in around in beautiful southern California at Santa Susana Labratories where all information was hidden and covered up. 5. Nuclear experimentation threatens the genetic viability of all the world's offspring, of all your children and children's children. 6. Nuclear experimentation requires that nothing go wrong ever. Fukushima proved natural disasters lead to nuclear disaster. Chernobyl proved natural human imperfection leads to nuclear disaster. 7. Currently there are about four hundred nuclear power generation experiments in the world. Consider the two major disasters, Fukushima and Chernobyl, unfolding requiring massive generational work just so the problems do not spread making more and more of the planet uninhabitable. That's about 450 nuclear power generation experiments over 70 year span resulting in two global catastrophes. 8. There has already been a nuclear war on Earth Mother. There have been over 2,000 atomic/nuclear detonations in and on every strata of creation. 9. After Fukushima the EPA turned off public access to radiation monitors......... When you put it into the hands of private corporations, for whom shareholder profit is the only motivation, it's a catastrophe waiting to happen. The fact that they even built this power station where they did, with such inadequate safety provision (It was built at sea level to keep the running costs of the seawater pumps low), shows their complete disregard for public safety. That's not going to change, and you can bet we're only being told a fraction of the truth. Now it's too late the mainsteam media shows up, and pretends it was here all along. Some guy received his annual dose of radiation placing a traffic cone in front of a high-level radioactive leak. So passers-by wouldn't drive into it by accident, I'm assuming. And the fishing boat, those people have no idea, or don't care. Probably an annual dose for one visit, but I bet the fishermen go there regularly. Compare with Chernobyl. |

It's mostly rubbish. Everyone knows radioactive isotopes are safe. No one has ever died from radiation from any nuclear bomb. Nuclear power plants are overbuilt to stop nosy spies from learning how to get power for free from splitting atoms. No one has died in Fuku from any radiation, and people with cysts in their thyroids are faking it. All the fish and agricultural crops from in and around Fuku are being secretly and privately bought by the wealthy here because the truth is that if it's got radioactive particles in it then it makes you healthy - and it's better than Via*ra. * Is it OK this time Mr. TEPCO Bossman Sir? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40594079 Sometimes I wonder if I should just go get some pills so I can forget the whole thing and try to live my life in peace... It's called normalcy bias my friend, stay safe. absolutely and the wiki is a great read. even just the first paragraph [link to en.wikipedia.org] It also goes a long way to explain why BHO and his minions are still in power. The normalcy bias, or normality bias, refers to a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14 God doesn't choose favorites.. They choose HIM It is not the greatness of my faith that moves mountains but my faith in the greatness of God |
