You know what is so messed up? All of my friends back home think/assume that fukushima is already resolved. They have no idea what's going on over here. When I try to talk about it to my foreign friends here in Japan, they assume all is well, too. If I give some information about the situation that is scary (but true) they say I'm fear mongering, or that I'm having too much anxiety and I need to seek help (get on Prozac) to deal with my PTSD.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just go get some pills so I can forget the whole thing and try to live my life in peace...

I just hope my husbands company (he works for a major news network here) will transfer him to the United States one day soon. I do believe there is or will be a disaster. But in that movie i saw fish with 2 eyes and one head. Maybe nobody can answer this, but is there a timescale for events that will happen in the future. Do we have 10 years left? Or only one year, or must we wait what happens next?

Nuclear power is so inherently dangerous (given the unstable nature of the planet, and ourselves) it should never even have been contemplated.
When you put it into the hands of private corporations, for whom shareholder profit is the only motivation, it's a catastrophe waiting to happen. The fact that they even built this power station where they did, with such inadequate safety provision (It was built at sea level to keep the running costs of the seawater pumps low), shows their complete disregard for public safety. That's not going to change, and you can bet we're only being told a fraction of the truth.
Now it's too late the mainsteam media shows up, and pretends it was here all along. We're screwed on so many levels.

Some guy received his annual dose of radiation placing a traffic cone in front of a high-level radioactive leak. So passers-by wouldn't drive into it by accident, I'm assuming.

And the fishing boat, those people have no idea, or don't care. Probably an annual dose for one visit, but I bet the fishermen go there regularly. Compare with Chernobyl.

Everyone knows radioactive isotopes are safe.

No one has ever died from radiation from any nuclear bomb.

Nuclear power plants are overbuilt to stop nosy spies from learning how to get power for free from splitting atoms.

No one has died in Fuku from any radiation, and people with cysts in their thyroids are faking it.

All the fish and agricultural crops from in and around Fuku are being secretly and privately bought by the wealthy here because the truth is that if it's got radioactive particles in it then it makes you healthy - and it's better than Via*ra.
