I actually lived in Hollywood then, too. Park road.
But, I inadvertently, met 2 of the guys in pompano. At a club called manray. They would have different theme nights, and one particular Saturday, happened to be sin night, goth/fetish, the only way you could come in is if you were dressed up. No jeans t shirts allowed. These men wore suits.
Me and some friends were getting drunk, when these two guys came up to the bar, looking very out of place, and surprised. They asked us what was going on. They said they were from out of town, wanted to go out, and that earlier in the week they came here and it was different.
Started talking politics, and said that something big was going to go down later this year, but they couldn't tell what it was. Me, thinking its drunk talk, but noting that these guys were serious, and weird, decided to move my party elsewhere. A few months later, 9/11 happens. It took me a ,utile while to remember about this conversation, really strange.
