Any coffee roasters here?

Store bought butter kills the deal. Emulsified butter hasd to be made from traditional, raw, unpasteurized milk, so all the enzymes are still intact.

Have tried coffee with above and with fresh cream from unpasteurized and with coconut milk. All amazingly delicious. Never tried w/coconut oil.

I drink coffee and roast a fattie every morning.

You can get organic coconut oil at any supermarket or health store.. and grain fed butter you can always find at a farmer's market or a health store as well.

Planning on it. Have the butter and the coconut oil, now searching for some great beans. :D

Yup, it has to be the right butter. I have not tried this yet but I have all the components, I have just learned about this so eager to try.

I can't confirm this straight in coffee, but what I can confirm is the time-release effect if one eats a breakfast with such fats. For instance I use coconut oil for my eggs and hashbrowns each morning. Ever since doing so, my nervousness and coffee consumption have both gone down.

On a side note - coconut oil *really* seems to fit the bill of the human body in 2013. If anyone's looking for a way to get that extra 'step up' to help them through the day, I'd suggest consuming some.

I'm not sure why this got one starred? There are a lot of people trying to save money by purchasing green coffee beans and roasting as needed. Why would that be a bad thing? It's actually a smart way to purchase in bulk and roast what you need.

Yes, everything matters, the bean freshness matters, the cool down process matters, clean coffee pots matter, how hot the water gets in the brewing cycle matters, THE WATER MATTERS. The cup you drink it in matters and the quality of the products you enhance it with matters!

I never made master roster, still I was one of the best baristas in the country though back in the day.

It's a lost art form now, I go to high end coffee houses and they push a button and the machine makes it all, very sad and never as good.

I would hazard a guess that people feel a thread about roasting coffee, beans being 'pinned' on one of the world's leading conspiracy forums is deemed slightly inappropriate. I love coffee so I for one am interested :)

I hear you. You have no idea how much it pains me to watch people in N.America (Canada incl.) chugging down these supergallon cups which are the new norm for coffee doses.

Coffee, properly prepared, is meant to be consumed in small quantities, by today's standards. Tjose standards still remain in much of Europe, thank heavens. Order a coffee in a regular French or Italian patio bar and you get a tasse of fresh, aromatic coco delight. All 150-200ml of the magical tummy potion. Anything more and it's just severely diluted shock and awe.

on the subject of roasting beans... can you do it on a stove top in a skillet? i got a handful of beans from my heirloom coffee tree and i'm dying to try it

I roast with a small pot and a heat gun. It works great and helps to get into the roasting process. I usually like to roast to full city +. When finished, I dump the beans onto a perforated pizza pan that is sitting on top of a bucket attached to a vacuum. Cools the beans down pretty well.

Yes we do! I don't roast my own, but I am intrigued. I've always wanted to take a shot at growing some Hawaiian Kona indoors. Maybe time to fire up the cabbage farm again too.

Thx OP for this thread. Made me smile with all the tips. I tried to stop drinking coffee several times because of health reasons and ended up with migraines. Researched and I found that one cup a day is ok (prevents me from getting many headaches as well).
This reminds me that I need to buy one of those old fashioned coffee brewers that we used for camping, incase shtf.

I love coffee myself.
But headaches is the detox effect from coffee.

Yep, I was famous for my “free pour” Cappuccino, don’t need a spoon to pour the milk if you steam it just right.

Might have a polaroid or two from back in the day.

I would have stayed forever but my business took off and I went to it full time till.




I figured I Made over a ¼ million drinks a year easy as a low estimate, I’ll tell a for serving coffee I was making some serious cash, triple minimum wage at the time + tips with full benefits and set schedule.

Now a days the kids make a lot less, anyone can push the button and have the computer make a drink. Though they are not often edible in my opinion.

Words the average modern coffee house does not understand anymore.
