Nasdaq halting trading in all securities Thursday until further notice due to a problem affecting quote dissemination.

That's just a way of getting the traders off their asses while they figure this out.

This is one of my husbands customers, he does the networking for them, I can't wait to hear what he knows; he's not answering his cell right now.

They only do system upgrades late night and weekends. He said a few weeks ago these major banks, corporations, all have major security requirements for everyone entering their buildings except for the cleaning crews. He has clearances and builds networks for major gov't & friends.


He told me earlier A major online retailer was hacked into and they were down for at least 45 minutes. They don't want anyone to know these companies are being hacked, I did not mention a name.

Please clarify the significance, for the non-fiscally savvy folks, in plain simple terms
