SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Carl Icahn said Thursday afternoon that he is planning a meeting with Apple AAPL -0.43% CEO Tim Cook next month, at which he intends to discuss the "magnitude" of the company's share buybacks. "Spoke to Tim. Planning dinner in September. Tim believes in buyback and is doing one. What will be discussed is magnitude," Icahn tweeted. The billionaire activist investor first disclosed last week, also through Twitter, that he had built up a "large position" on Apple and intended to press Cook for more share buybacks.
