Did the Beatles really compose their own songs?
I suspect that they did not but I can't find anything on the internet.
I think that they had way too many hits and that their songs were way too good just to have been composed by a bunch of guys with zero musical training.

Usualy a band is very lucky if they have one or two huge hits.

I think that the Beatles were a manufactured phenomenom by the TPTB.

Also after the Beatles disbanded, John Lennon made crap music, Paul Mccartney made two good songs and then nothing.

Maybe you should actually read John Lennon's biography before you start spouting nonsense like this.

There's bootlegs all over the place of many of their songs as they're being composed.

Some of the worlds most gifted musicians were never trained.

Re: Did the Beatles really compose their own songs?
There was someone in Paul's family who was an accomplished musician - uncle or grandfather maybe? - who trained him. Also John was mega-intelligent.

I believe they were naturally talented composers (actually personally I think they were the reincarnation of Gilbert & Sullivan) who were found, scooped up and groomed early on by The Tavistock Institute (major mind-control and social engineering outfit in the UK). This may explain their unusual harmonies, inexplicably addictive sound, and also, yes, maybe some songs were composed for them.

The murder of Paul in 1966 (if you get into that scenario) was supposedly because he refused to cooperate in Tavistock's plans to use the group for social engineering purposes, i.e., to encourage young people to use drugs.

"Faux Paul" (as John dubbed him) was a Canadian rock musician, so he was able to do some composing, but he was also ghost written for by some famous musicians.

(I don't have links, this info is recalled from an all-night session years ago browsing YouTube videos on the subject of "Paul is Dead". Absolutely fascinating, I recommend it. Even if you ignore the playing-backward stuff, there is plenty of meat there.)

Paul was an excellent song writer. He wrote most of the GOOD songs the Beatles made, even though most were accredited to "Lennon-McCartney". Paul actually wrote lots of good songs after Beatles as well, both with Wings, and for solo albums.

Paul's songs also got masterful arrangements by George Martin, a major key to how great they turned out.

Nope. Everything they did was based on Motown songs and Stax chord progressions. Everything.

The Rolling Stones, however, were original.

Yes and No...

The Beatles were HEAVILY into the occult, including Alister Crowley. Their media is filled with occult references. To put it in the simplest of terms... The Beatles were Satanists, as are many successful "artists", and their muse was none other that the former worship and music leader in Heaven... Lucifer.

The Beatles were an Illuminati New World Order creation designed for the evil purpose of "culture creation".

Their songs were written for them and handlers scripted their actions and words.

The Beatles demonstrate that popular culture is really mind control.

But crabs have absolutely nothing on you, OP.

Totally agree. Example...
Anyone know the story of 'A Day In The Life?'

John was working on a song but was having some trouble with it. Paul was working on another song, but didn't know how to finish it...

George Martin came up with the idea "Hey! let's fuse the two song's together" Rest is History...

I saw a video the other day about how lots of the bands in the 50's & 60's didn't record their own music and there was one group of musicians that recorded for everyone.it also showed how music from different parts of the World were all recorded at the same time far away from each other but had the same basic melody

Anyone remember or know what video that was?

The Beatles really suck. Terrible music. Pushed onto all of us by TPTB no doubt. Paul died in 1966 and was replaced by a more talented look a like.

John faked his death in 1980 and retired to Michigan. Ringo and George were the 2 luckiest people in the world.

Lennon realized that he was set up in 1976 after a long talk with Mae Brussel. He made one more album, faked his death to get away from the intell folks and that is the story.

Manufactured boy band. Lousy musicians, bad song writers.

Shirley you're not serious?

The last line is pure ignorant stupidity.

A Beatles "best of" compilation would be a minimum of 5 CDs and all quality tracks either musically or lyrically.

The documentation and bootlegs of their recording sessions is extensive. Every session tape (4-track, 8-track) recorded from 1964 to 1969 STILL exists in the Abbey Road archive. They are the only ones that wrote, performed, and sang those 210+ songs apart from a little help from George Martin and some classical musicians for the horns and strings.

They also performed a lot of their early songs LIVE on the BBC and those recordings exist not to mention all the live concerts.

Groomed? Yes, by Brian Epstein who made them get rid of the leather clothes in favor of smart European styled suits and shoes.

Ringo lucky? Ummm, it's other way around. Ringo was considered the best drummer in Liverpool and took the Beatles to a higher level with his amazing back-beat and cymbal work that made Pete Best sound like retard in comparison.

Paul was extremely talented musically and vocally before his supposed death. Just listen to his peerless vocals on the Help!, Rubber Soul and Revolver albums. Only his twin separated at birth could have replaced him.

There's your answer, when they were togheter things were good and flowing...

And I can give you examples of people with vast music knowledge that compose unlistenable garbage...

The last sentence is just my opinion though...
“The living being had no need of eyes because there was nothing outside of him to be seen; nor of ears because there was nothing to be heard; and there was no surrounding atmosphere to be breathed; nor would there have been any use of organs by the help of which he might receive his food or get rid of what he had already digested, since there was nothing which went from him or came into him: for there was nothing beside him. Of design he created thus; his own waste providing his own food, and all that he did or suffered taking place in and by himself. For the Creator conceived that a being which was self-sufficient would be far more excellent than one which lacked anything; and, as he had no need to take anything or defend himself against any one, the Creator did not think it necessary to bestow upon him hands: nor had he any need of feet, nor of the whole apparatus of walking; but the movement suited to his spherical form which was designed by him, being of all the seven that which is most appropriate to mind and intelligence; and he was made to move in the same manner and on the same spot, within his own limits revolving in a circle. All the other six motions were taken away from him, and he was made not to partake of their deviations. And as this circular movement required no feet, the universe was created without legs and without feet.” -Plato

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” - Nikola Tesla

“What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.” - Albert Einstein

Re: Did the Beatles really compose their own songs?
This is probably my favorite Beatles song recorded in early April 1966. It's a track from the "Revolver" album called "Tomorrow Never Knows". This recording was about 30 years ahead of it's time.

John's lyrics were inspired by the Tibetan "Book of the Dead".

This is the actual recording as released in August 1966 not a modern "remix".

It has a continuous sitar drone, repeating bass & drums, a one chord structure, tape loops of reversed guitar licks and orchestra drops, a filtered vocal effect in the middle, and the first ever backwards guitar solo.

I nominate this as the single greatist musical recording ever done in the 1960s. And it was done on relatively primitive 4-track with no "bounce downs".

I had heard Lennon wrote 90% of the lyrics and Paul chimed in with odd line or even word here and there and the occasional full song. When Paul did write a full song himself they were absolute crackers. He just could not come up with the volume of lyrics Lennon did.

John however, was not the best at putting a melody to his poetry or creating chord arrangements. John would come up with something basic and Paul would perfect it.

In other words John was the best at writing poetry and turning them into song lyrics and Paul was the better musician building melodies and arrangements

A true partnership. Probably the only thing they agreed on in the tough times. LENNON/MCCARTNEY as the song writers .
