Roanoke, Virginia in FEMA Region III: Odd white unmarked US government bus sighting at lunch today

Wouldn't worry too much about it honestly.

That's just me though...having been on and around military bases over the last decade I'm quite used to seeing GOV's roaming around.

The government uses white busses for transporting troops, transporting inmates, transporting contractors, and I'm sure other purposes. I would guess that it had somwething to do with that military base you said was a couple of hours away.

Are there any prisons nearby? Were you on the route that you think one might travel between that military base and an airport, trainstation, or other military base?

The government has a wide variety of busses at its disposal, including ultra-modern busses, and even armored busses. Here's a picture of a "Rhino Buss," a white armored military transport:

The bus turned South and was heading towards Martinsville from Roanoke. Closest military base in that direction is Ft Bragg, NC probably 5 hours away.

Did it have an awning on the side?

It may be an Obama mobile "free phone" center.

have seen same rigs around portland oregon several times in the last 6-8 months usually 3-4 traveling south on I-5 look brand new with very dark windows. no plates on them the one time i passed them?

OK, so there are new theories about some TSHF going down around October 1st in FEMA region III (includes Virginia) and nobody has commented on the pic of the spooky unmarked white bus with gov plates and black tinted windows rolling through Roanoke, VA today after I posted a pic of it above. Wow.

I took the image and dragged into a google search then typed in fema and govt bus and it brought up a few images that looked similar to it. Probably just a troop transport for basic trainees.

Do you have the link to that image gallery? Also, there aren't any military bases for at least 2 hours here. Also, typically the troop transports have at least a few markings on them and are typically green.

I haven't seen one of those either, could be a limo bus kind of thing. I'm also in Region 3 hmmm

i live between region III and austin texas along the gulf coast. we have military bases here several in fact,but the busses they use are camo and have the base it belongs to labeled on both sides of the bus,,until the last couple of weeks others and myself have spotted solid white busses with no markings on sides,a government tag,dark windows and the driver wearing military uniform..i took pictures yesterday of four of them traveling in a group..

A white unmarked school bus pulled into a Wal Mart in Iowa today. Out of the bus came five uniformed troops and at least 15 civilians, none of which were under arrest. They all went into the Wal Mart and shopped.

Think that is kind of odd.

I saw 5 or 6 of these unmarked white busses with tinted windows coming through Gadsden Al. on Feb 24th. They were following about 8-10 trucks pulling unmarked white enclosed trailers behind them.
