RADCON 5 HIGH ALERT! OHIO IOWA WISCONSIN NY | |
aylarue User ID: 43549243 United States 08/22/2013 08:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Remember the thread FEMA region 3. It makes no sense to stock supplies in an area were the disaster would be. But it does make sense to stock next to the region were the disaster would be like region 5. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45513349 That's what I thought when all this Fema region 3 crap started to make an appearance. The emergency might not be where they're sending the shit but outlying area close to Fema3. Why send all your supplies to a possible "ground zero". In that report about all the crap fema is having sent...some was going to Austin.I think. |
Simple27 User ID: 44334522 United States 08/22/2013 08:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That site can't possibly be accurate. Look over at Japan. That cannot be correct which leads me to believe nothing else is correct either. Quoting: Simple27 That's why I'm thinking you have to have a paid membership to view the correct readings. I was just about to ask how it is possible that there are RADCON 2, 3 and 4s scattered around America but the whole East Coast of Japan is at RADCON 1. Weird. Hmmm, does anyone viewing this thread happen to have a paid membership that could look into this for us?? ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

The sky was completely grey for most of the day here, even behind the clouds. The clouds are all fucky and in weird directions. That chart is scaring the shit out of me though. I somehow feel the readings aren't correct given that Mr. Big Brother himself was here today talking to the kids at a college. |

I'm sorry and chances are this will offend someone but that netc.com appears to be nothing but a marketing gimick to sell networked radiation detector kits and offer membership to their alert club. How accurate the detectors they are selling would be to speculation, in their forum (which there is hardly any if little activity), someone posted to ignore their site high reports because it fell off the window sill and suddenly started reporting HIGH levels. Great income solution for someone along with neato maps but that's about it. |

Here is a more accurate map: Normal "background radiation level might average anywhere from 5 to 60 CPM" There are ZERO stations reporting anything even close to abnormal. Doom cancelled AGAIN. |

In that report about all the crap fema is having sent...some was going to Austin.I think. Yes, that is how it works. When preparing for a hurricane, say in Louisiana - all the supplies and response personnel 'stage' at various key points. Like, for example, Katrina - some of the response personnel and supplies were 'staged' in Lafayette, Louisiana, Jackson Mississippi, and areas that were about 2-4 hours drive time from the projected eye of the hurricane. They want to keep the people and supplies close enough that as soon as things 'start' happening they can begin to move in closer as the crisis allows. Staging areas have been known to be much closer and much farther away depending on the type of disaster. |
