Though the drive is aesthetically pleasing, the reasoning for this trip makes me wonder if a SHTF scenario might be around the corner and upstate NY part of the solution. Plenty of open spaces, farm fields, country roads to house hundred's of thousand's of people. From Syracuse to Binghamton proper -- 80 miles -- tremendous opportunity for housing, camping, hunting, etc. Just a thought, The area itself is lovely AND off the beaten track, as well. Thoughts? |
