I don't agree with you there. I know a lot of good people who are doing well in life. Of course, there are those who try to bring them down. But really, your life choices are your downfall. If you make bad choices, it doesn't really matter how good a person you are, you will have hardships. Also, working hard is only a part of the equation. You need to work smart and play the political game a bit.

Be grateful for what you have, as a positive and grateful attitude attracts more good things to you. Resentment only leads to more problems and loss. As for being a good person, you will most certainly be rewarded for that, if not in this life, then in the afterlife.

It's called the Dunning–Kruger effect OP, it's a way stupid people succeed. Just be glad you aren't one of them.

Bump for truth! Good people get what they deserve, so do bad people. That's why we have jails. I know lots of good people that have heaps and they are very lucky. Bad things still happen to them but their positive outlook on life makes them bounce back better than ever. Bad people tend to hang out with other bad people and more shit happens to them. when they cross each other.

You are not alone. I have been worked over my entire life,every which way you can imagine and I have nothing left. Not my health, no job, no money, living on a camping cot on a 6 by 3 foot slab. No free Barry phone or benefits for me (as a safety net), nothing. Too old to get hired, too young for Social Security, I'm melanin-challenged, not "ethnic", not fluent in Spanish...

I hear your pain, OP. It might not seem like much but you have your integrity and even though life is hard, the people who seem to have it all really don't. They are miserable, too - in just another way.

IMO, our world may actually be hell or purgatory; there is little true joy - even when you reach out to others or they to you, it often doesn't change the circumstance much - but do it anyway.

I know how you feel.

That's where you fucked up, you have to seek the kingdom first, not after so you can't end up there, you have to be there to begin with.
