To be completely in the present moment, dissolves the illusion of time. Then you're not living in a expected future or a past memory. All you've got is now.
 Quoting: Cloud Hidden

There are signs that Jesus didn't want to die, what do you say to that?

"He didnt look forward to hanging on the cross, no. He asked the Father, if there was any other way to do this, and he knew there wasnt. However Gods presence was with him while he was hanging and then left from pain of watching his son, Jesus said, why have you forsaken me, as in why did you leave??

Luke 22:41-43 talks about Him praying for there to be another way, but saying ultimately not my will but thine be done."

Having an insight into divinity doesn't stop you from being human. I'm pretty sure Jesus would cry in pain just as you would if for example shot or stabbed (in his case, crucified).

PS. I don't think Jesus was any more than just a regular wise human being.
 Quoting: Cloud Hidden

I think you just refuted yourself because Jesus couldn't have had insight into divinity without having "truly lived"...

A person who has truly lived for even a split moment is content to die in the evening.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38422418

Don't be silly and take what he said totally out of context.

Death is death, and pain is pain.

There are 2 very different things.

Just because you do not fear death does not mean you won't squirm and cry in pain - that is human after-all.

Actually, im fair sure he had the option to die at will as all ascended beings do. But no, he chose to live the human life to its fullest, including death.

Re: Are people more afraid to live than to die?
People are just to sick of living in this world of lies, full of hypocrisy and unnecessary things that are constantly being direct or indirectly shown to us.

People just can't stand corruption anymore. People are sick of being manipulated and deceived.

Every one knows by now that something has to change, and maybe this is the reason why we are 'unconciously' looking for it, maybe even desiring it. And it doesn't make us evil - just normal people who have had more than enough of a sick world, enough of violence, pollution, destruction, lies, govt bullshit, disrespect, etc..

Just this.

Re: Are people more afraid to live than to die?
let's flip the coin for a moment. what if you chose to be here to see this unfold?...

would it make any difference?

i' blessed with age to be here right at the time to document.

children's children are the real problem, and i fortunately bought puppy dogs, as i wasn't blessed with any (though i raised two).

to die or to live?

death is not an equation when we are young.

when you get older, it is opinion, of where am i and what for.

that's the individual question on a personal level that needs to between you and yourself.

does life mean anything?

does death change anything?

cool questions.
It's life as we know it, but only just.

Re: Are people more afraid to live than to die?
I have WANTED to live a completely different life than the one I have been FORCED to live. And if the rest of my life only holds the promise of more of the same, then I can't wait for all of this shit to be over. "Afraid" and "fear" don't really describe what I feel about living...I think "resigned" sums it up pretty well. And I welcome death, I just hope I live long enough to see all of this madness to come to an end.

Re: Are people more afraid to live than to die?
a lot of people are giving up on this world. But they are not killing themselves. What they are doing is praying, willing, meditating, doing rituals, summoning, call it what you will but what they want is an end to this world. Each person is a provocateur of trouble making to bring on the change quicker. They are self proclaimed "wizards" and really truly hate this world. The numbers of people like this are growing to extreme proportions.

This is NOT good. But it is happening. People have given up on peace making any kind of a difference so they are trying the opposite. They are trying to destroy this world by force of will. They literally hate the modern world and all the broken promises and false progress it said would make life better. It has not. It is a failure. People are NOT happy.

This growing number of angry secretive people using the intangible self to destroy the modern world is a very bad situation that will lead to horrors beyond imagination. This is what the machine world has created. This is what those who promised the machine world would make life better but who have lied have given us.

Many people are projecting their inner hatred for this modern world outward.

This is what happens when you bring people into the world and have no plan on how to insure their happiness in a filthy, evil, snake pit of a place. This is what happens when you don't emphasize love and peace above anything else. This is what happens when you believe in the mocking and ridiculing and the necessary cruelty. This is what happens when you bring people into the world and expect them to just be happy because now they are here and must adapt or else. Or else ????? Are you fucking crazy ? That attitude is only gasoline on the fire. Soul magic is being used to change things. The machine world has no chance.

Our civilization is doomed.

What do you think?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38756104

It is a wonderful and great thing when you die knowing and serving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour; because once you die in Christ, your spirit and soul will shoot straight up to heaven. And once you are in heaven, you will be living like a god or goddess. As your past families and friends who made it to heaven will come and greet you as soon as you get there. And they will hug you and kiss you and will eventually take you to your mansion that has already been built of gold and silver and diamonds and rubies and pearls. And you will even have the ability to return to the Earth occasionally, and visit your loved ones that you left behind on the Earth.

But if you die without Jesus Christ being your Lord and Saviour; and if you die as a sinner, your soul and spirit will come out of your dead body and you will immediately be sucked straight down into hell. And hell is in the center of the Earth. And once you arrive in hell in about 60 seconds or so; the demons will immediately to attacking you and ripping you to shreds with their spears and pitchforks. And you will holler and cry and scream because of the severe pain. And you will bleed and try to fight them back; but they are 50 times stronger than you are. And are 10 to 19 foot tall, at times.

And after hours of their tormenting's, they will throw you into a small barred cell; or they will take you to their lord Satan, who will light you up with his fireballs, and have you hollering and screaming again. And after that, the demons will either put you into the same barred cell; or throw you into your own little pit of fire. And if you are in the barred cell; a fire comes through it several times a day. And if you are in a little pit of fire; every 20 minutes to one half hour at the most, a fire starts at your feet, and spreads up your body and you will scream in great pains and agonies from it!!

Why? Nothing should take away a person's natural self-preservation instinct, that's very unnatural and negative imho. Do you agree or disagree?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38422418

Strongly disagree. The self-preservation instinct is not natural but something that we developed when the world changed to a world ruled by religion and law.

My grandma gave up living, she just gave up
and died :( . Doctors didnt find nothing wrong
with her, she was prety healthy, even our
family linage has good genes.
She said at a time in the nursing home,
your pa will pick me up in 3 days time,
once those 3 days passed, she died.
Strangest talk I had with her.
Not sure what to make of this story.

Not sure how people can just "die" ,
or getting their body to shut down
on command?
