Harry potter's wand was also made out of 'HollyWood'. Better do you're research before posting.
Quoting: SaturnTheGod yea, you know why J.D. Rowlin gave him a wand of Holly? Because the meaning of Holly I gave earlier, is that what the Holly is known for, .. 'evil' or darkness! DOH! J. K. Rowling has explained her choice of wand woods for Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort:
"It was not an arbitrary decision: holly has certain connotations that were perfect for Harry, particularly when contrasted with the traditional associations of yew, from which Voldemort’s wand is made. European tradition has it that the holly tree (the name comes from ‘holy’) repels evil, while yew, which can achieve astonishing longevity (there are British yew trees over two thousand years old), can symbolise both death and resurrection; the sap is also poisonous."[7]
Quoting: [ link to harrypotter.wikia.com] Not every fairytale or old tradition was being fumbled by 'satan' in the process. Just like not everyones life was in any way influenced by the story of 'how jesus met satan' Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30492845 edit, fixed quote, can't edit because i am not logged in. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30492845 Ahhh, okay. I gave Harry a wand made of holly wood back in 1990, when I first drafted chapter six of ‘Philosopher’s Stone’. It was not an arbitrary decision: holly has certain connotations that were perfect for Harry, particularly when contrasted with the traditional associations of yew, from which Voldemort’s wand is made. European tradition has it that the holly tree (the name comes from ‘holy’) repels evil, while yew, which can achieve astonishing longevity (there are British yew trees over two thousand years old), can symbolise both death and resurrection; the sap is also poisonous
