TIL that we are willing to vaporize $35 million in weaponry attacking a single air base in a single strike.
I'll bet it probably won't do $35 million in damage. Maybe, but its definitely not wildly cost-effective.
This is all about China. The last two major wars with Easter aggressors were fought halfway up Europe's butt.
They want to prevent that by holding the Chinese in the mountains of Afghanistan, not Turkey.
