the president's plane Assad landed this evening at the airport Imam Khomeini International , noting that Assad arrived accompanied by a number of officials in the Syrian government and some members of his family
 Quoting: Travis Bickle

Interesting. Is he fleeing though or just going to report back to his boss?
 Quoting: Resister

Looks like it's about to go DOWN

Not until friday. The UN people are still in the country.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16662827

No, their deaths will be blamed on Assad, as "retaliation"... standard false-flag protocol.

He knows it's about to rain down on him...
 Quoting: Travis Bickle

Actually, the Shiite leadership in Iran and Syria (Alawite and Shiites) have been looking to provoke this for years, seems they may have succeeded.

Their twisted Islamic prophecies, the destruction of Israel, war with the great Satan, return of the imam Mahdi, uniting all Muslims in war with the non-Muslim world etc...

Having Assad move to Iran makes sense for them, if it was their plan to provoke this aggression, to justify their war OF terror in retaliation.

He may not be fleeing, but could be following religious directives.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45861234

What's wrong with you?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34780011

It is what they believe.

Nothing wrong with me.

If there is war with Iran and Syria you'll likely know exactly what that all means.

Some things are better left alone.

Well America is about to commit genocide against his people...

God bless Syria and the Syrian people... :(
 Quoting: Ikhthus

Funny because every report I read says ENGLAND is involved just as much as we are....
 Quoting: kickazCarlin

Oh, they are. England has just as much interest in taking control of Syria's oil as the US does.

Watch Turkey closely. Turkey (Erdogan and his islamist party) and Iran are going to play a huge part is what goes down in the next two weeks...

If this thing doesn't escalate properly, then it's value as a diversion is not going to be sufficient to blame the economic crisis on it. Therefore, count on it escalating 'properly'.

meanwhile in Israel

if only I had a crystal ball to see what they have in mind after the US serves them iran on a plate...

just a possibility, right?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45862447

It's not about winning...it's about the distraction, and creating plausible excuses for doing what they want to here in the US. Victory, in this context, is having an excuse for the economic shock which is coming, and an escalation in "terrorist activities" to warrant increased "security" here at home.

China wants the same "victory" to blame for their crumbling economy, so they may use the cover of a US/English military intervention to launch a serious cyber-attack against western banking entities, then they can blame their troubles on our "economic failure".

Timing is everything...

 Quoting: Travis Bickle

Stop being so willfully ignorant.

Hmmmm. Let's see, America is getting ready to strike Syria so since I am the leader I will tell everyone where I am ????

Does this actually make sense to you?

A little. If I didn't want my people or I bombed, I would leave. I don't know that he would stay away, But I would do something like that in the hopes of deescalating the tensions that are so obvious.

Didn't the US say that if Assad left within 48 hours there would be no attack? How the hell do they attack now? Johns McCain and Kerry are sure gonna be mad.

Doom over
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45371772

Not likely over... The White House claims that the actions in Syria are not about regime change, so things should proceed I would think

There is going to be an example set that shows why "you shouldn't use chemical weapons on your people" even though they probably weren't the one that deployed them....but, who knows for sure anyways, right? Lol

I can't stand Obama, but what I can't stand worse are people who don't put support behind their military or country.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45867122

You are the kind of tard that enables shit like Nazi Germany. I'll not support a damned thing that I believe is wrong and to do anything else is plumb fucking retarded.

We are killing people so that we can set up a radical Islamist government that is allied with mother fucking Al Qaeda. And we'll kill as many thousands as we need to.

You support that shit. I won't.
 Quoting: Unixlike

^^^^^ Gets It ^^^^^

I served. I believed. I don't any more... More Iraqis died from US bombing and urban warfare in the first year of our invasion than Saddam killed in his entire run of control.

The US "accidentally" bombed villages that were on top of oil fields to force them to relocate, among other atrocities. Those oil fields are now being developed by US and British companies under exclusive contract as part of the "rebuilding".

The US and England also payed Blackwater and other "contractors" to kill people with political influence in Iraq which were against the invasion and occupation by NATO, or to kidnap their family members to silence them. Of course, it was all blamed on "radical islamist militias" - particularly the Shiite minorities with strong ties to Iran.

A bit of history - First, we payed and supplied Saddam to wage war against Iran for 11 years (1979-1990), along with getting all of NATO to embargo Iranian oil, simply to keep the Iranians from controlling oil prices in the west.

Then when Saddam and his cronies got too comfortable with their position of regional power and started to make demands of their own against US/England/NATO, we pulled our money and aid, and the CIA created an "insurgent group" which destroyed a pipeline (under construction) which was supposed to bring Iraqi oil and gas westward through Jordan, to ports in Israel (Haifa) and/or Lebanon (Sidon). We also bribed King Hussein of Jordan to renege on the agreed right-of-way for the pipeline, making the whole project worthless for Iraq.

Saddam went after Kuwait because he needed a way to get his oil to market, and the Kuwaiti ports were a good alternative after we destroyed his chances of completing that pipeline. We also "led him to believe" that there would be no substantial reprisals for invading Kuwait.

We essentially tricked Saddam into attacking Kuwait, economically speaking, then crucified him for doing what we knew he would do 'with our permission'.

This is exactly the game we are playing now with Assad, *and* also with the "Free Syrian Army" - massive manipulation, with every intention of doing far more, and far worse, that what we've promised to the various factions involved...

I guarantee you, the chemical weapons attacks that have occurred have been done with CIA "guidance". I actually wouldn't be surprised if the nerve gas shells used were 'Made in USA'.

Nothing wrong with him huh? Never mind during the arab spring all the school students he tortured, or as you Germans call it foreplay.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45867122

There was no "Arab spring" in Syria. There were mercenaries/cia among some protestors who shot at the police ad provoked a reaction, agents provocateur. This is their MO to rise tensions in a country whre they want to topple the government. same old play since decades.

When I hear 'school students tortured' I hear 'babies in incubators thrown out of the windows'. So where is your proof? Sho w me some evidence please. Or do you want to be sued for defamation of character?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45830342

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ T H I S ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

The entire "Arab Spring" was engineered. Food prices were manipulated by western bankers to create massive shortages...people were starving, and then came Al CIAda to agitate the desperate masses into uprisings.

It's amazing how predictable desperate, starving people are. It can, and will happen here, if that is their plan. America is no different, except for the fact that we are more spoiled, and more vulnerable here, because 96% of Americans have never grown their own food, or even has the resources to try doing so, any more.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but we are ripe for the picking...

I have never trusted Twitter. I rarely look at it for news I just use it to follow the Astronauts on the International Space Station.

If Assad goes to Iran then I will go to Iran too.

I can have a good time going flying on their old airplanes. No other place knows about airplane maintenance as good as the Iranians.

They are frigging fantastic, so nice and hospitable.

This is propaganda, it is always the same story meant to paint the leader as un patriotic.

Saddam hussain, ghaddafi, Chavez.... Anyone who America want tio depose they say they have fled the country.

Anyone who believes this is a moron.

How many times can they repeat the same propaganda before people wake up to the lies?

The West are lying dog scum, every politician, every media outlet... We are all guilty, we have no pride.
