You can burn down the false-beliefs, ideals, and goals of someone with the right tools. Love is a fire, an all consuming fire. If you burn the right things into someone's mind, new life can rise from the ashes, spawned by tears. I would rather have an enemy turned friend, than a friend who simply stays loyal.

Someone who has the scars to prevent themselves from becoming corrupt once more, has the potential for greater good I feel, than someone who's stayed clean all their lives. Those who have lived in a hell, are usually the best at preventing others from falling into that same hell.
