Surviving the Void
There is a place the mind can take us which has been experienced by many but often mislabeled as a "delusional state." It seems to have been experienced by many philosophical thinkers, "prophets," religious and spiritual leaders, and notably by many who claim to have experienced an "awakening." It is a place where every idea, dormant in the mind or otherwise, can be linked back to a central point. It is a place where things we have seen every day become mysterious and other things seem to make sense for the first time. It is a place where, when we descend into it, we begin to question everything we have ever learned, seen, heard, and "known." It is a place where, quite suddenly, it can seem that all the people around us are talking in code. It is a place where most become lost and frightened and begin to believe there is not a single soul or a tangible idea they can trust. In this place, every word spoken has multiple meanings. In this place, every story becomes the same cyclical set of events repeating over and over again. In this place, there is so much information to process that we often find ourselves overcome and forget how we arrived at a point 10 minutes after we have found it. In this reality, consciousness or "entities" or "gods" can seemingly inhabit the people around us and begin to converse. Every experience, from the most inconsequential daily routine to the most intense interaction becomes a battle for spiritual life or death. We can begin to feel that we are affecting our realities with mere thoughts and words. And we are. People who experience this place often fall victim to paranoia, terror, and obscurity and thus begin to lose their grip on the commonly inhabited "reality." But this is not the only outcome. It is survivable. Many simply do not know that others are inhabiting this place with them. It is a misunderstood place and a misrepresented phenomenon. But it is real. It is the void. This thread will examine it.

Re: Surviving the Void
Associations

Anything we begin to imagine seems to immediately take on a life of its own here. Everything we read seems to relate in some way to the reality we are inhabiting. We begin to take on aspects of the "characters" we relate to. Projections of personalities (rampant in quantum space or from "godly" realms) begin to interact with us. Every possible idea begins to culminate into one giant story. Conflicting ideas begin to work together like some holy machine, the inner workings of which were previously undetectable. There is no "this OR this" in the void. There is only "this AND this...and also THIS...and this, as well." It is a world where no one is wrong. Everything is real. It is a world where dimensionality begins to invade this plane in ways we can experience firsthand. We begin to KNOW the dimensions that the people around us inhabit. We begin to perceive that we can, in fact, read minds by reading emotions. And that thoughts and emotions are indeed one and the same. We begin to perceive that everything is possible and is therefore real. We begin to see chains of persons exhibiting what seem like the SAME personalities. We perceive that the entire universe is one series of associations.

Fear is your biggest enemy.

Trust yourself. The universe will talk to you if you listen.

Re: Surviving the Void
Fear

In the void, when we begin to fear, our fears begin to manifest almost immediately. When we imagine we are being watched, it seems the entire universe is watching us. When we begin to ponder a battle between light and darkness, it begins to manifest. The people around us can seem a giant hive mind, controlled by we know not what. They can seem our best friends and most trusted love ones today. And tomorrow they can turn into monsters. But we also see that when we begin to view the void with a certain curiosity and understanding, it begins to view us with the same perspective. When we are compassionate to the things we fear, they begin to show us the same inquisitive nature and cease to be horrors. They become curious things that are just as interested in us as we are in them. Our minds become reality-moulding machines, capable of altering the most horrific or appalling menaces into the most fascinating and friendly creatures. In the void, fear is our worst enemy.

Re: Surviving the Void
Alien Forces

Part of what makes the void so real to us is the inherent sense that we are interacting with something completely different than anything we have perceived prior. We no longer wonder if there are intelligences foreign to our own. We KNOW there are and we only then wonder for how long they have been around us and how it is that we never noticed before. We begin to see call and response. We begin to recognize that the universe itself (and all the things within it, tangible or not) can come to life and send us "messages." We begin to become aware of a certain sense of perspective. Some of us start to see that we are infinitely small. But others can take this same sense of perspective and notice that, for whatever reason, the entire whole of reality has become as aware of us as we are of it. We have begun to interact and converse directly with the universe itself.

Re: Surviving the Void
Conversing with Gods

In the void, we begin to feel that we are interacting with ancient entities which can seem as "gods." And perhaps they are. We begin to notice that the people around us (those who are not experiencing that which we are) are like vessels which can be inhabited and abandoned. Seemingly universal personalities can begin to manifest in these vessels. A person we have known for years can suddenly become "controlled" by a force which we have never perceived but which we know well from our mythologies. And this same force can seemingly infect the next person we run into (with alarming accuracy). It can begin to seem that everywhere we go, we are being followed by "godlike" personalities which can be perceived as friendly or adversarial. Each interacting can begin to seem like a battle with ancient entities, the likes of which we have never been able to "see." It can seem as though universal philosophers are challenging us by asking, "So...you don't like this place your in? Well, how would YOU change it?" It can seem like we have tapped into a timeless game for universal domination. And this can be frightening. Or it can be the most beautiful and meaningful (AND FUN) experience of a lifetime.

I have only been there once in my 30 years on earth so far. Unfortunately is was hallucinagenically induced....not something I do often at all or care to. I found it easy to navigate when there though. I downloaded everything i could when i was there...but i am due for an upgrade.Any tips on how to get there again without star fungus is appreciated.

Sleep deprivation is the #1 key. Though I do not necessarily RECOMMEND this. Most who have been would rather not have gone. But I am like you. I revel in it. And when I am not there, I wish to go back.

Re: Surviving the Void
The Reverse Hook

If being pulled out of the void can be like "hooking a fish" then becoming one with the void can be like hooking the universe. It is often said that all of the knowledge, all of the answers, the infinite truths are locked within ourselves which are reflections of the universe. In the void, this becomes a blatant reality. In this place, looking inward can be horrifying and enlightening in one breath. We can (often for the first time) see that we are made of everything: hate, love, jealousy, pride, comedy, honor, valor, rage, and all of the others. And for many this can be such a drastic shock that we can become lost. But for others this can be the reassurance that if the entire universe is made of these things then we must not be that far off from our "sources." We can use this perception to shape who we are into who we wish to be. We can isolate the aspects, the "gods," the facets within all of us and access only those which we desire to portray.

Dark matter is real. It has been scientifically validated. It is the intense gravitational pull created by Higgs-Boson or "glue" particles which holds matter itself together. It is what binds us.
