Completely wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if Syria sank all the US destroyers in the Mediterranean. It took the United States 20 years of war, UN inspections, and no fly zones to defang Iraq and finish it off. Syria is now more advanced militarily than Iraq ever was. Libya was guaranteed safety by the US when they abandoned all their WMD programs. That's what they get for trusting the US.

Before we can answer the question: which side used chemical weapons?; we have to answer the question: were chemical weapons actually used? Contrary to what you hear in the media this question has not been answered.

Hasn't been answered. I think we(US) is waiting for someone to make a mistake. Here's my question. If the suez canal is really closed and the ships are lined up "waiting for the gates to open" doesn't that make them sitting ducks?

Iraq was militarily routed in 1991. The political decision to finish it off was not taken. The US believed sanctions and rebellions inside Iraq would lead to a coup. It didn't happen. That doesn't mean Iraq was so strong militarily that it took the US 20 years to defang it.
