were the BEATLES over rated as a band an as musicians?

Don`t get me wrong the era of revolver on to abby road at the end are SOME of my favorite music,i did not care as much for the early can`t buy me love era songs,but time an music has moved on, an a lot of garbge sterile junk is out there but over the last 40 years since the beatles there have been SOME amazeing talents ,an after the beatles broke up not much of any of them was up to par as they were as a group,the first few McCartney albums were very good ,an some of the songs on lennons were great to, mostly the mind games era, wonder wall by Harrison was real good but that was about it tell cloud 9 an some wilberrys ,ringo well a couple songs were not bad but that's about it,lennon an McCartney were great melody man an oustanding writers an were great ,but did they deserve this almost demonic spell there music has had over the mass`s of the world as the greatest band of all time?there are many,many great bands out there but none seem to have grabbed the minds of the planet at that level,maybe led zeppelin,rolling stones or pink Floyd came kinda close but not really,SO whats up with that?
